The boat trip was very cool, but we didn't get to see any dolphins. They could have offered an option for a partial refund if they aren't seen, since you pay for both activities and it's a shame not to get to see them; other companies have that option.
Great excursions Too bad, we did not see any dolphins
The staff at the ticket office and crew on board the boat were very friendly. They took the time to explain things. I would highly recommend this trip.
Good trip but would have been better if people from back could get a look from the front of boat. ….
"We booked the 'Dolphins and Benagil Trip' but were highly disappointed. We didn't see a single dolphin, and the rest of the experience was just a basic boat tour. We only spent about 2 minutes inside the Benagil Cave. The tour commentary was brief, unprofessional, and very difficult to understand. After visiting the cave, the boat simply drove straight out into the open sea and back while playing highly inappropriate music. With this careless approach, it is no wonder we didn't spot any dolphins. Overall, a very disappointing experience and a total rip-off."
We booked the tour for 3 PM and found it fantastic :) unfortunately, we did not see any dolphins, but that was not a big deal. The feeling of crossing the Atlantic with a view of the beaches was great.
The outing lasted less time than expected; our departure time was moved up on the same day without the option to refuse. And we were unable to see any dolphins. Fortunately, the staff was friendly.
We booked the Dolphin & Caves Tour from Albufeira directly through WhatsApp and couldn't have been happier with the service from start to finish. Before booking, I had quite a few questions as my 12-year-old daughter is nervous on boats. The team were incredibly patient, friendly and honest in their advice, recommending the catamaran as the calmest option and taking the time to reassure both of us. Due to sea conditions and our daughter's worries, we ended up rearranging a couple of times, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Communication was excellent throughout, and we even received a discount for booking directly through WhatsApp. What really stood out was how much the team genuinely cared about our experience. They monitored the sea conditions carefully and even suggested moving our trip to a calmer day so that my daughter would have the best possible experience. They also made sure the crew were aware that she was nervous, reassured her about life jackets, and went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. It was such a thoughtful approach and made a huge difference. The trip itself was fantastic. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, which was a real highlight and something we'll all remember for a long time. There was also a marine biologist on board who shared lots of interesting information about the dolphins and local marine life, which added an extra dimension to the experience. Although we weren't able to go into Benagil Cave itself due to the restrictions following the recent accident, we honestly didn't feel we missed out. The coastline was absolutely stunning, and seeing the caves, cliffs and beaches from the water was incredible in its own right. We also got absolutely soaked on the boat at one point! Personally, we thought this just added to the fun of the adventure. We wrapped ourselves up in towels afterwards and had a good laugh about it. If anything, it made the experience even more memorable. Most importantly, we felt completely safe throughout the trip. The crew were professional, knowledgeable and clearly experienced, while still being warm and approachable. My daughter, who had been very anxious beforehand, ended up thoroughly enjoying herself, which says everything. A fabulous experience from beginning to end, with excellent customer service and a genuinely caring team. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
The coast with the caves is very beautiful. We did not spot any dolphins during the boat ride. The crew is nice and attentive.
No dolphins seen and no cave in either. We received an email a day beforehand that people with poor physical condition could not come because of the weather. On the day itself, a phone call with the same story. Not a word was said about the fact that they were not allowed into the caves. The trip would take 2- 2.5 hours. Exactly after 2 hours we were back on shore. So they could have done a better job of finding dolphins. All in all paid too much money for just a trip at sea.
