Overall, the experience was a positive one. The tour guides were great and each stop was organized. The cenote stop did seem a bit rushed and when zip-lining I think we did a total of 4 lines total (not 6 as advertised), 1 of the 4 being very short. The ATV's, you just kind of did "laps" through very-rugged and rocky terrain. I guess maybe I pictured more of a path through some wild jungle and not 4 laps around what was essentially a track course, but it was still fun. It was understandable that it was so rugged because they probably don't want inexperienced riders going as fast as they can go down smooth terrain and instead you have to navigate the bumps at moderate speeds. On the horses, we took a lap around a tree-lined polo field, again definitely not a jungle tour with "monkeys" but instead dogs that follow you and occasionally annoyed my horse. Still fun, but maybe not the jungle adventure I envisioned. Then we had to wait what they called "5 Mexican minutes" (about 30 actual minutes) for an entirely separate group that showed up after us to take their horse lap so we could all go to the cenote at once. Probably why our cenote swim was so short. They could have easily bused us 5 minutes down the road and came back and got the others instead of making us wait. Tequila tasting was good and we each got a few tacos included at the end as well. Only real negative was the shuttle. We came from Costa Mujeres, which was probably about a 90 minute ride in and 120 minute return back going through Cancun rush hour. The back of the shuttle was miserably HOT. On the way home I rode in the front and the AC was blasting cold so not sure why the back was so hot going there, but it was awful and could have potentially ruined the whole day. I should also mention, no photos or GoPros were allowed on horses, ATV's or ziplines for what they said were safety reasons, but instead they have a photographer follow you around and you can purchase the pictures. I guess the safety aspect is understandable but lets not fool ourselves here that they have no problem with letting you jump off a 40 foot cliff into a cenote, or riding on an ATV with a 10 second lesson of "gas and brake" but apparently pulling out your phone could risk your life. They are selling pictures. I did get around 300 quality pictures AirDrop-ed to my phone for $139 for our group of 5 (probably not a deal, but worth it to me for the memories and I have no problem supporting the locals for working hard). Then plan on maybe another $10 USD per person to tip your guides. Overall still good and a lot of "stuff" for the money. If you understand what you are getting, I would still recommend, but this could be so much more. Some tweaks, like actual trails through actual jungles and a comfortable shuttle ride, and this could be fantastic.
Crispy bacon was our guide and he was amazing!!
Literally the worst horseback riding I’ve ever been on. They don’t want you to actually ride the horses, they just want you to sit on them. You go on a 10 minute ride through the drive way, slowly walking single file, if you go out of the line to actually ride your horse you get yelled at. They just follow each other at an extremely slow pace following the guide. The ATV was similar, they set them on really high gears so you can’t go fast, they don’t allow you to pass, and they force you to stay at a slow pace. The zip line was rushed, all the people were rude until they were asking for tips. At the end, you get literally locked in a room with everyone else where the stores are, the door is literally locked so you can’t leave to go wait in the parking lot. They don’t allow you to bring your phone to take pictures so you’re forced to buy their insanely priced picture package. Honestly just a horrible experience. The Cenotes were okay. But the rest was the least extreme thing ever. Don’t waste your money on this.
Hi Jemma, We’re sorry to hear your experience did not meet your expectations. Safety is our top priority, which is why horseback riding, ATVs, and ziplines operate at controlled speeds and under guide supervision. We also want to clarify that tips are always optional and never required. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with our team as we continuously work to improve our guests’ experience. Thank you for visiting us.
It was such a fun experience and Alan made us feel welcomed and safe the whole time
Great tour overall. A little busy with people in the ATV amd zip line. Crispy bacon guide is the best! And Tequilla tasting amazing!
Miguel and David made sure we had such a fun high energy vibe! Spirits were up and a time was had! We couldn’t thank you all more!
We booked horse back riding, zip lines, swimming at Cenote, tequila tasting, atv. Javier and his crew were amazing. The swimming was beautiful and the tequila tasting was a great learning experience. The only thing that was not enjoyable was the atv. Two people on a single person atv is difficult. Recommend making sure each person requests to ride alone unless you are a child. Would definitely go again!
Miguel was a fantastic tour guide. Very helpful and informative plus a hoot on the tour. We had a great time and will definitely return
Mguel was awesome and very knowledgeable
