Rose Island Adventure Snorkel, tortugas marinas y playa privada

My family had an excellent time on this tour! There was a little bit of everything - snorkeling off the side of the boat to check out some of the fish in super-clear (and comfortable) water, getting to see sea turtles up-close in a preservation area, and just hanging out on the beach. We didn't opt for the tour that involved feeding the pigs, but we still got to see them run out and cavort with the other guests. Most importantly, all of the staff, from our captain to the cook and bar staff, brought a really fun and festive energy to the day. Not complaints, but things to know to set expectations - the beach itself isn't super huge (not a lot of room between the buildings and water), but plenty of room to relax on the chairs provided or bob around in the sea. Lunch is also pretty basic (burgers and hot dogs) but it does the job. Also, if you are joining from a cruise, note that it's a cab ride over to the pickup spot on Paradise Island from the cruise ship terminal (we paid about $35 each way).

It was an incredible experience. Would recommend to all. The fee was good. The time at rose island was perfect. It was overall a great excursion.

I'm really not sure how this trip gets high ratings. We left 30 minutes late. Just standing around in the hot sun waiting! The boat was a small fast boat, maybe 12 people capacity. You feel every wave and hit big time! The snorkeling part wasn't hardly 30 minutes from the time we dropped anchor until we were leaving...maybe 20 minutes in the water. They made us wear life vests, even the accomplished swimmers. I spent more time fighting the current to remain in proximity of the boat than seeing anything! The description of the tour makes it sound like we would be SWIMMING with turtles. WRONG! We arrived where the turtles were. The Captain said we wouldn't be getting in due to it being a protected area. However, there were 3 other boats anchored and about 40 people in the water! Guess their captains didn't care. We floated around for 15 minutes while a couple of turtles surfaced for air. BORING! Then it was off to their private beachside play area. Nice place, but the included lunch wasn't great. All drinks were only available for a price at the bar except for water. Unless you wanted to pay an EXTRA $75/PERSON, chairs and umbrellas were woefully insufficient for the number of people. All in all, I consider it to have been one of the worst snorkeling excursions I have ever been on, especially for the $130 per person cost!

Great day with the family! We booked this tour a couple years ago with another company and this was so much better! The island was beautiful & fully stocked with umbrellas and lounge chairs for all on the tour. The crew was a lot of fun too! Definitely would book this tour again!

Amazing experience!! I would 100% go again. The snorkeling was amazing, and we even got to keep a conch shell. Captains Andrew and Deon were so kind and helpful with everything. We got great photos and have so many memories and we definitely got our moneys worth with the whole trip. Four hours was the perfect amount of time to enjoy all of the amenities, plus the water was incredibly clean and clear. Amazing for our family with ages from 10-60, and I would recommended everyone to go!

Captain Deon and Andrew were amazing. The crew was very attentive - they made sure several times throughout the day that everyone stayed safe and happy. We had the best time snorkeling at the reef with our 3 kids. The beach club was incredible, even though a couple of parts were under construction. The swimming pigs were a great addition to our tour as well. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting the Bahamas - it’s a must! My only complaint is that the time of our trip did change to an hour earlier the night before and after a long day of travel before, it was hard to adjust to the new time and the boat was about 10 min late to pick us up.

The boat was not as Viatoe said and instead of 12 people there were more than 40 with music that made it impossible to talk. On the island everything was very precarious, poor quality lunch, strident music and we had to fight for the lounge chairs because there were fewer than the number of people. The pigs were very dirty, doing their business on the same beach.

Everything about this excursion was wonderful - you get a lot for what you pay and felt like the price was super reasonable compared to other excursions. The boat ride was smooth and the couple stops leading up to arrive at Rose Island were just the right amount of time (snorkeling and looking at sea turtles). Rose Island was beautiful, clean Ann’s the staff was friendly. My husband, myself and our daughters ages 10,13 all had a wonderful time!

We had the BEST time. Such a great experience and the crew could not have been more friendly and professional. They did a great job of making it fun while also being super professional and ensuring safety. They fed us lunch of burgers, or hot dogs with chips and the burger was very good. We saw lots of fish while snorkeling, several sea turtles and the pigs were super cute. The beach club was great and if we ever return we would do this tour again to see the new infinity pool that was under construction there. Such a great time for a great value. You wont regret it.

The reason we booked this experience over others was it advertised SNORKELING with sea turtles. However, upon boarding the boat they told us that we were only observing sea turtles from the boat. At the sea turtle area, we were told it was because of sharks. That is a hard argument when literally every other tour group at the same area was in the water snorkeling. Many people on the boat looked frustrated and disappointed. The family across from me also said they thought it was we would be in the water. I showed the captain a screenshot of the listing and expressed my confusion. He said they never snorkel with the turtles. I was concerned going in after seeing reviews saying that it was just observing, but other reviews said you do snorkel with them. The snorkeling over rainbow reef and the island were beautiful, but for the cost we left very disappointed in the false advertising.
