I would ride in the covered boat. Bring water and Gravol if you get sick. Remember whales are wild sea creatures so you may not see any. Our crew made sure we saw a whale or 2. And it was so, so awesome!!! The crew was amazing and the especially the Captain. He would turn the vessel so we could see the whale's better. Seebreeze in Stevenston
It was really nice we got to see sea lions Seals 9 orcas and bald eagles it was wonderful The crew is super nice and passionate
This tops my excursion experiences AND it's in Canada! They guarantee that you will see whales and DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! My husband and I really enjoyed this!! I definitely will recommend it to anyone who has whale watching on their bucket list!
We are from Ontario and when we decided to visit Vancouver. So, whale watching was definitely included after watching some environmental episodes on TV. Vassel was partly covered and open deck at the back. Glad to say we saw some sea lions and whales. There were numerous whale appearance and the boat captain was able to take the the close, within recommended distance. Vanessa, with her knowledge obviously added more information to what I know about these magnificent sea mammals. I would recommend this to all those interested .
Vanessa is a very seasoned and knowledgeable naturalist. She is able to talk and teach at a comfortable friendly way. She is quite pleasant. She gets along well with the captain. Together they were able to find many hump back whales today. They were also good at approaching the harbor seals and sea lions so we could really see a nice view of them in the wild. They have great eyes for the sightings.
We had a fantastic trip with Seabreeze - along with seals, sea lions and Bald Eagles we found a group of 10 Humpback Whales which we watched for a long time and on our way back to shore, one came up behind the RHIB so we got a private show. Our Naturalist was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information.
Been on the boat for a total of 4 hours. 3 Orca fins seen and 4 whale tails. The privacy of the animals is well guarded because the distance that is kept is considerable. The guide was downright friendly and enthusiastic. Halfway through the sea became rougher making the ride back anything but an easy ride. In the end, you see very little and it quickly became boring. It hasn't been worth the money to us.
We had a great day Whale watching with Selena and Kennith on the Zodiak boat. We saw Orcas, Humpbacks, Sealions and Harbour Seals 🐋🦭 Selena was so knowledgeable and passionate, you can tell she loves being a ‘Dorca’ - we learnt a lot from her and thoroughly enjoyed our day at sea. The tour lasted about 5hrs total and we covered a lot of ground! It’s handy to know they give you a full body suit, so don’t worry about packing too many layers in your bag as you don’t need them, and it’s difficult to get to/stored under the seat you sit in.
Such a wonderful, life-giving day of seeing and photographing both Orcas and Humpbacks. Our guide was fantastic, as was our captain. I appreciated their ability to work within the rules set out for whale watching, their respectfulness in not getting too close to the whales, but still being able to see them so well. I'd go every day if I could!
Boat ride was nice, the experts very knowledgeable about the area and whales. We got to see humpback whales and killer whales and seals and sea lions.
