Itinerario

Was the most amazing idea we ever had! So happy we chose to do this. Vassilis was so educated and sweet and knew so much history and information on everything. He was able to answer all of our questions! He was so fun and gave amazing background on everything we ate. 10/10 highly recommended!!!
AMAZING. Not going to lie - we booked this last minute as another tour we'd booked through Viator got cancelled and my payment declined. I thought I'd rebooked the same one but didn't. This one was better priced - and sincerely Orestis made our evening an absolute delight. We had a 16, 14, 12 and 3 year old with us and everyone throughly enjoyed it. Informative, and time to eat was just perfect - didn't feel too rushed but not there long enough for the kids to get bored. Would highly recommend. And yes, the Giros was - well - just amazing!
Unfortunately, this tour didn’t meet our expectations. We’ve done food tours around the world, and this was one of the weakest. The food was quite basic and carb-heavy, with nothing particularly special or memorable – which felt disappointing given the price. The route was also very limited, with all stops within a small area just steps from each other. Our guide seemed inexperienced and struggled to answer basic questions, and we missed the enthusiasm that usually makes these tours special. We can’t recommend this one, especially at this price point.
Dear Ido, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear the tour did not meet your expectations, however we must clarify a few facts regarding your booking. First, you booked our Street Food Tour which is explicitly designed around casual, on-the-go street bites rather than a sit-down meal. We always encourage guests to review the detailed online description and food inclusions before booking to ensure it matches their culinary expectations. Traditional sit-down dishes - such as the dolmadakia, zucchini balls and Greek salad which your group requested during the walk - are simply not part of the Street food tour menu. These dishes are featured on a completely different itinerary, rather than the street food experience you selected. While our guides always do their best to share local culinary knowledge, our specific food stops are set in advance to showcase authentic local street vendors. Second, regarding the route being limited: you were originally scheduled for the 6:00 PM Street Food Tour but later requested a switch to the 1:30 PM slot. On that day, during your tour between 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM, official recorded temperatures in Athens sat between 37°C and 40°C (98.6°F to 104°F) as the region entered its first major heatwave of the year. We take our guests' safety very seriously, which is why we intentionally keep our afternoon itinerary compact. This layout ensures we can quickly move our groups - especially families or groups with children / youth like yours or seniors - between air-conditioned food stops that are close to each other, maximizing everyone's comfort and safety. Third, regarding the price point, you booked a private tour. This premium guarantees that the experience is completely exclusive to your group and that no other travelers can join. However, a private tour is not a custom-made experience; it follows a set, curated menu that does not change on the spot based on individual preferences. It is the responsibility of our guests to review what a tour offers before booking to ensure the menu matches their expectations. While we stand by the structure and value of our tour, we take your comments about our guide’s performance seriously and are addressing this internally for future training.
Our guide was friendly and fun. The tour included lots of good food. Our stop for Gyros was amazing!!!!! I have never had a gyro so tasty!!!! Also, our stop for the cinnamon & honey donut holes were delicious. The tour had a lot of bread type Greek traditional foods which were delicious. (But, now I need to stick to vegetable and fruits for a while!)
Osarias (sp) was a fantastic guide. We enjoyed this tour very much and enjoyed all the stops along the way. The stops were perfect and informative.
This was an amazing tour so informative. The guide was great would highly recommend!!!! Perfect way to see the hidden gems
Dimitri was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. We had a small group which Dimitri made feel like a gathering of friends. Great food, company, and learned a lot! Great way to start our trip! Highly recommend Dimitri!!
Host Dimitri was attentive, he talked about the culture and the food options were plenty. Loved the spanakopita!
Walking tour was a great way to get acquainted with the city centre, meet people from other parts of the world, and eat some local foods.
This was an amazing food tour. We were able to try many different kinds of food that felt authentic and were delicious. Our guide, Orestis, was extremely talkative and friendly, and answered questions about both the food and the city itself in our tour. We were also able to explore a marketplace, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, this tour was amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to try Greek street food with a friendly, helpful guide.
