Siendo la cuna de la civilización moderna, el templo del Partenón se alza sobre la ciudad de Atenas y es un símbolo infinito de la historia de la antigua Grecia.
Un antiguo estadio hecho completamente de mármol que fue sede de los primeros juegos olímpicos modernos de 1896 y todavía se usa hoy en día como un punto final para el Maratón Clásico de Atenas cada año.
Este alto y escarpado acantilado sirve como un punto de observación óptimo de toda la ciudad hasta el mar. También hay una típica iglesia ortodoxa griega en la parte superior.
El monumento está custodiado por los soldados de la Guardia Presidencial. Vestidos con uniformes griegos tradicionales, los guardias permanecen quietos rindiendo homenaje a los caídos en la batalla, héroes griegos. En el punto de cada hora tiene lugar una pequeña ceremonia de cambio.

Ted’s ability to vary our tour as we had seen some things already was amazing. We took two tours and saw so much including the temple of Poseidon and all along the coast. It really was fabulous.

Ted was amazing and we had a great full day in Athens. He picked us up in the airport and we did the Athens private tour, and I the afternoon we did the temple of Poseidon. Ted(Theodore) was amazing! So knowledgeable, friendly. He gave us of the background, history and the meaning of all the sites. The food we had for lunch was fabulous! Every aspect of our tour was spectacular! Book Ted and you won’t be disappointed!

Ted is a fantastic and personable guide! He adjusted the tour for me to match my physical limitations (I can't climb a lot of stairs) and still made sure that I had a good view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. He's so knowledgeable about Athens. As the tour progresses he pays careful attention to what you particularly enjoy. Then he works that into the tour. For instance, I love street art so he included some great ones along the way. I brought a friend along on the first tour. Halfway through we received a notification that we would have to unexpectedly disembark from our cruise ship that day. Ted immediately went into "Guardian Angel" mode. He helped us find hotel rooms very quickly despite there being two thousand other passengers trying to do the same thing. We were able to arrange a transfer with him to the hotel after we had packed our things while others were waiting for taxis. The next day he did airport transfers for a couple of my friends. I was staying for an extra day in Athens so he suggested a walking tour around Plaka, a beautiful neighbourhood in Athens, along with trying out some food. I'm glad he did because I had a wonderful time! He wasn't done with his "Guardian Angel" mode quite yet. He provided me with an airport transfer the next morning at the same time the taxis in Athens were going on strike. Thank goodness for Ted! The next time I'm in Athens I wouldn't call on anyone else but him for tours or transfers. He's the best. I recommend him 100%. Thanks, Ted! ❤️
