Antigoni was a wonderful tour guide who provided interesting information during the course of the tour, and she even provided us with recipes afterwards. We visited places that we would never have found on our own with different types of Greek food, and everything was amazing! There was so much food—be sure to come hungry!!
The food tour with Katerina was amazing. We were a small group of 4 people and it was great cause of the intimacy. We could ask questions and talk about Greece and the history very easily. Katrina was great with so much knowledge. We recommend this tour very much, and of course the food tasting was so good and delicious!!!!
Antigoni was a fantastic guide and the spots chosen were varied and tasty. There is a LOT of food on the tour, so be prepared. We learned a lot about the dishes, restaurants and their history. I'd definitely recommend the tour.
Our tour was informative, exciting, filled with great food and interesting places that I would have never visited if not for Antigoni Dionisiadou! Her English is perfect, she has a sunny personality and answered everyone's questions. Did I mention the food was spectacular. We were all full after the third stop but managed to keep eating (we did not finish everything). My friends went with another tour group and did not have the positive experience that I had with Antigoni. She reads your coffee grounds, too (wink)
A great tour with so, so much food! Follow the advice of other reviewers and come hungry, and maybe don't make dinner plans either! We tried so many incredible things along the way, and such a wide variety.
Andreas was outstanding! This felt like an engaging course on food and culture. Our family of four (2 young adult children) was very impressed. We got to experience a wide variety of foods-each with a meaningful explanation of its place it Greek history. This is a must!
Angelica was an excellent guide. Very thorough and informative. She took extra care with some visually impaired people that joined the tour. The food tour was yummy. We enjoyed all the different tastings, seeing a couple neighborhoods and also learning about some history. Come hungry. You will leave stuffed like a dolma!
What an amazing surprise! Was not sure what to expect, but my guide Mariza delivered the unexpected in every wonderful way. Warm, thoughtful, and informed, she curated a wonderful tour of some of Athens most famous local, street eateries. She answered every question and was quite knowledgeable on a range of topics. If you are looking for something to do beyond the standard tour of the Acropolis, this is the adventure you have been waiting to experience.
Had a great evening with Elizabeth who was enthusiastic & very professional throughout the 3 1/2 hours. The group was only 4 people & 2 were not fluent English speakers but she worked hard to ensure that everyone was engaged & happy! The tour had 6 stops & many tastings from olive oil to sweet treats & even included a meze & a main dish in a very traditional local taverna, don’t eat much before taking this tour but definitely take it if you can
Mariza was our tour guide and she was absolutely amazing! We had the best time and the food was great. She was so informative, funny, polite and patient. It was our first time in Athens and what an incredible way to start the trip. We highly recommend this food tour and Mariza!
