Itinerario

Great transport to Poseidon! Well worth the trip at sunset. It was truly spectacular and very reasonable.
Great tour guide Viki who had wonderful stories about the history and myths of the area. We had a beautiful sunset and more than enough time to grab some food at the little cafe.
This is a good experience. Sunset here is a beautiful experience and a must do. Tour guide Angelina is great and an excellent conversationalist. Keep in mind that you return late around 10:30pm and make sure all your connecting train/bus services are open so you can return to your place of stay in time.
The location at sunset was absolutely stunning. This is where postcards get the photos. Getting safely to the location for the per person price is absolutely worth it and I do recommend it. I do not love a bus tour but the bus was clean and comfortable. The tour guide was ok. She provided a good amount of information.
Unfortunately, I booked this tour because the description stated that an ancient theater, the historical silver mines, and afterwards the Temple of Poseidon would be visited. During the ride on May 16, 2026, we were then told on the bus that we would only visit the temple. When I inquired with our tour guide, I was told, "I’m sorry, that can happen." Afterwards, the guide took a photo of my phone screen, which showed the incorrect description and our ticket. She said she would send that to the event company to clarify, but after that, I heard nothing back. The following day, I then requested a refund, stating that we booked a different tour according to the description. I only requested a 50% refund since we did make one of the three stops. This was then rejected within a few hours on the grounds that they do not issue refunds. Had we been aware that the tour only included the temple, we would have booked a different tour that makes a stop at Lake Vouliagmeni, so that one can briefly dip their feet in the water. The temple and the sunset were beautiful, but unfortunately, the provider is not trustworthy.
In early May, 2026, my husband and I booked a private driver tour to Cape Sounion and Temple of Poseidon. About 85 minute drive from Athens. It was great to see the Temple but it was so very crowded we did not stay for sunset and stopped at a seaside restaurant for a cocktail to watch sunset instead. It was cold and windy with very uneven grounds for walking so dress accordingly. Be sure to check time of sunset and try to be there 30 minutes ahead because you need to buy tickets there at $20 euro pp. There are lots of group bus tours for this experience ranging from $18 - $44 euro pp - much better value than our private tour but the bus tours use up more of the day. We loved our experience with Athens Tours Greece (ATG). $200 euro for entire trip but we had guided tour driver and made several photo stops with hotel pick up and drop off and awesome comfortable ride. This was the least expensive private tour I found after extensive research. Whole trip took about 4 hours. Trip highlight.
Great tour, lots of time at the temple. Tour doesn't leave from Halandra. The posting under itenerary is incorrect.
Great to visit Temple of Poseidon and enjoy the amazing sunset on Cape Suonion! The bus ride was comfortable unfortunately the wifi was down which made the 3hrs spent on the bus rather boring. Lydia did her best to entertain with great stories and a sharp wit, which was helpful. The unexpected change of our return drop point was a bit of a challenge to negotiate last minute travel arrangements particularly without the help of internet wifi. We were able to get back to our room with a 10-12 minute walk albeit a bit late at night to negotiate pathways. All in all it was a good trip and worth the price.
Great trip in the best weather- great tour guide, comfortable bus. It was worth it. Only the tourist crowds have disturbed something - but you have to accept that.
Great views and overall a really good experience, but unfortunately the weather was very windy which took away from it a bit. Still worth it, just a shame about the conditions. One thing to improve: the tour should be much clearer about the exact pickup point. We were at the stated location, but the bus picked up on the other side of the café and we missed it the first time because of that confusion.
