Aswan: Tour privado de un día a los templos de Abu Simbel

The Abu Simbel Temples are definitely worth visiting! Our experience was overall great. The tour guide was friendly and humorous. But there were a few nits: - The description says bottle water included so we didn't bring water and was thirsty along the way - We booked the 3:30AM to avoid the early crowd but were asked to change the time to 4:30AM the day before - I don't find this tour worth more than the other cheaper ones. Basically you only need a driver to get you there and check the Wiki yourself:)

Overall a very good experience with a 2-person team of professional drivers and a knowledgeable tour guide of high English proficiency, who took good care of us at Abu-Simbel. The van was clean and spacious four us 5 guests. Abu-Simbel is a 3-hour drive from Aswan through desolate desert country. Halfway there is a coffee-candy bar-restroom waystation; pack-in snacks or insist on eating at the simple cafe on-site if you want more to eat on this total 9-hour journey. Though we booked the 8am pickup, this tour company informed us the night before that pickup would be the customary 5am time. We made it across the Nile from Elephantine Island by 5:15am and they were waiting at our ferry stop.

Great organisation from Michael who contacted me via WhatsApp to finalise the details of the trip the day before. Hany, my driver, was simply fantastic! He could not speak English perfectly but we still managed to communicate and he shared some tips with me, like where to enjoy some local food. The guide in Abu Simbel was fun but professional. Overall, a wonderful experience!

We booked a day trip from Aswan to Abu Simble and decided on the way back to add the Nubian Village. The tour was great and they were flexible for last minute changes. Would recommend for any tour!

There is not much one can say about Abu Simbel Temples. They are so overwhelming that you search for words and find none. The company is very flexible and client-oriented, so you can get a tour tailored just for you. Michael, the guide, is knowledgeable, friendly and the only good driver we have met during our trip to Egypt. Highly recommended.

I’m not exaggerating when I say touring with Michael was my favorite trip ever. He was able to rearrange things perfectly to accommodate some visiting dignitaries so I didn’t miss any of the sights. On top of that he is an incredibly knowledgeable guide and a great photographer too :) Thanks for everything and I hope to be back in Egypt soon!

Don’t let the title fool you. The “Full-Day Private Guided Tour” is merely a pick up and a drop off transfers. The positives: The driver Ibrahim was on time. The 3 hour-ride was boring but comfortable. Abu Simbel temples were amazing to see and explore. Enjoy the moment. The negatives: The driver did not speak English. Being a solo traveler, the 3-hour ride felt much longer. It would have been nice to know in advance that the driver won’t be speaking English as I would have brought my AirPods to stay entertained. Egypt requires foreigners to attain a permit to transfer between Aswan and Abu Simbel. The permit costs 200EGP and is included in the price of the private tour. When we reached the checkpoint, the driver informed the security guard that he had lost the permit. After few minutes of arguing back and forth, the guard finally let us through. I’m not sure if the permit was lost or never attained in order to pocket the 200EGP. No bottled water was offered as there should have. Once we arrived at Abu Simbel, I bought the entrance ticket as it was not included. The driver then made a phone call to reach the “Private Tour Guide”. Initially Ahmed was the tour guide. Two minutes into the walk the tour guide was switched to Sayed. We walked for about five minutes to reach the temples. Another five minutes of explaining about the temples from the outside, then you are on your own. The tour guide moves on to another tour. In summary, this is not an all-day private tour as the title suggests. The tour operator Egypt Best Holidays must update description to accurately reflect what the tour exactly encompasses and to avoid any notion of deception.

This was an excellent trip! The company was very organized and communicative. We wanted a private tour for four, but wanted to make sure we were in a van, which they ensured. Our guide, Bisho, was incredibly informative, providing a great tour of Abu Simbel as well as talking about Egypt history and current events. We loved this tour and would highly recommend!

Mike is a very good guide with a rich knowledge of ancient egyptian culture. We went to the temple of isis and it was amazing! Avoiding crowd, private transportation and epic views. What else can you ask for?
