Amazing

The tour is comprehensive and a great alternative for those who have few days and/or don't want to take the cruise. The guide was great! He explained everything with so much love and appreciation for the history of his people. The driver was very professional and attentive.

Terrible

This was terrible. Pick up was half an hour late. The drive spent most of the morning yelling on the phone. Was supposed to have a guide for both stops. The guide didn't show until 10 mins before leaving for the second stop. He said the driver never called him. Saw the drive try to call a number 3 times while arriving in town with no answer so no clue of that was accurate. Then the company said the guide was supposed to be on the bus but there wasn't enough seats. There was another open seat on the bus. The guide at the first place also had mentioned there would be a new guide at the second stop. Ill include screenshots if this let's me. Also, we were told the driver would drop us off at our hotels. The driver was insisting that he was only going to drop us off at the Luxor Temple and not to our hotels. The entire group had to complain and the company had to be reached out to in order to get him to agree to stop at our hotels. After that he spent the following hour of the drive flipping us off. Honestly, look for a different group to do the trip. This isn't work the hassle. Also when they say and hour at the stops that time also has to be used for getting up to the site along with buying the tickets. Even without the guide, the second stop felt like we had to speed through it in order to see most of it.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your feedback regarding your tour from Aswan to Luxor via Kom Ombo Temple and Edfu Temple. We take all comments seriously; however, it is important to clarify several points to present an accurate picture of the day: First, this is a **shared group tour**, not a private service. A short delay at pickup can occasionally occur due to other participants, which is standard worldwide for shared excursions. Despite this, the overall program was maintained. Regarding the guide situation, our records confirm that **guides were present and assigned at both Temples**. There was a **communication delay between the driver and one of the guides**, which we acknowledge and addressed immediately once informed. As soon as we were contacted, we arranged for the guide to meet you, and he was indeed present at the second site. Additionally, our guide clearly informed you that **extra time could be provided** and that you were not required to rush the visit; however, you chose to follow the driver’s timing despite being advised otherwise. Concerning the claim about seating and guide presence on the vehicle, we would like to clarify that **guides for such routes typically join at the temples, themselves**, which is a normal operational procedure and not an indication of service failure. As for the drop-off, we categorically **deny that there was any refusal to drop you at your hotel**. All guests, including yourself, were dropped off at their respective hotels, including Pyramisa Hotel Luxor. The brief discussion that occurred was only related to organizing the drop-off sequence, as guests were staying in different areas across both the East and West Banks of the Nile. Finally, we take allegations regarding driver behavior very seriously. However, we did not receive any complaint about inappropriate gestures during or immediately after the tour, and such behavior does not align with our company standards or the feedback we consistently receive from hundreds of satisfied guests. We always strive to deliver a smooth and enjoyable experience, and while minor operational challenges can happen in shared tours, we believe your experience does not fully reflect the overall service delivered or the efforts made by our team on the day. We wish you a pleasant continuation of your travels.

Disappointing Tour Guide Experience

Our tour ended up being private only because no one else signed up. Unfortunately, both guides were disappointing. The first guide only explained the basics and did not seem very interested in communicating or sharing much history or storytelling. The second guide was even worse. He explained for only around 10 minutes, then left us there and went home. We also had no chance to ask questions afterward because he was already gone. Overall, this did not feel like a proper guided tour at all.

Dear Customer Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are genuinely surprised to read your comments, as both guides assigned to your tour are among our most experienced and consistently receive very positive feedback from our guests on the exact same itinerary. Regarding the guiding experience at Kom Ombo and Edfu, we would like to clarify that our guides always provide detailed historical explanations followed by free time for guests to explore at their own pace. This is a standard and widely appreciated approach, allowing visitors to enjoy the sites without feeling rushed. During this time, guests are always welcome to ask questions, and our guides remain available for that purpose. We also noted your comment about the second guide leaving after the explanation. This is part of the agreed tour structure, where the guide completes the guided portion and allows guests independent time inside the temple. At no point were you restricted from asking questions during the guided visit. Concerning the private tour, we would like to highlight that your booking was originally on a shared basis. As no other guests joined that day, we chose to operate the tour privately for you at no additional cost rather than canceling your experience. This is a complimentary upgrade that most of our guests highly appreciate. Finally, we would like to mention that throughout your tour, you were in direct contact with our operations team, and no concerns regarding the guides were raised at the time. This usually gives us the opportunity to immediately address and resolve any issues on the spot. We always take feedback seriously; however, we believe this experience does not reflect the consistent level of service we provide to our guests. Kind regards

Brilliant day out from Egypt Knight Tours

Great day from Egypt Knight Tours. We travelled from Aswan up to Luxor by private vehicle stopping at Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna on the way. Our driver was courteous, professional, supplied us with water and we felt safe with his driving in a very comfy vehicle. It was great to drive through all the small townships to see the real Egypt, thoroughly recommend rather than getting a train. First stop Kom Ombo...our guide Abdul was superb. Very polite and professional and also extremely funny and engaging, involving us in acting out the story behind the temple. The temple is great, some great images depicting surgical tools right at the back and the story is interesting. Don't miss the crocodile museum next door to see mummified crocs!! Next stop was Edfu, my favourite temple of the day, it is such a sight to behold. Again, our guide Muhammad was great; explained everything in detail and gave us ample time to look around without rushing us. We then added Esna on to our trip but did not have a guide here. The outside had scaffolding but do not be put off as the inside has the best ceiling artwork and colourings in any of the temples we have seen so far in Egypt (we have seen a lot). Overall highly recommend using Egypt Knight as the vehicle, guides and communication were all great, with them contacting us the day before to reconfirm and giving us an opportunity to ask any last minute questions in advance.

Excellent!!

A great trip, with a very friendly treatment giving security at all times. An excellent driver despite the bad roads. And very friendly local guides and leaving time to take pictures. Thank you Mahmoud and Nada for being attentive in helping me with the journey. I travel alone and understand very little English, but I have felt very accompanied. Thank you.

Rushed visit to temples with basic guiding.

The guiding in Kom Ombo was superficial. The guiding at Edfu was good I think. The driver was careful.

Travel between Aswan and Luxor is recommended with sightseeing (especially guide options).

We applied for local guides in Edfu and Komuombo as they were optional, and both were very nice and satisfying. (3 guides on 9-person tour, 6 unguided) We recommend that you do not have to go on a Nile cruise, but choose this tour that combines sightseeing to get a great deal.

Unforgettable Nile Cruise with Egypt Knight Our deluxe Nile cruise package with Egypt Knight between Aswan and Luxor was a truly amazing and memorable experience. We were thoroughly impressed with the comfortable cabins, excellent service, and delicious food onboard. The itinerary perfectly showcased the rich and vibrant history at every temple and tomb in the region. A huge thanks to our guide, Sam, whose deep knowledge and seamless coordination made every site visit effortless and fascinating. Thanks to Egypt Knight, our sail along the Nile was exceptional from start to finish. 5 stars plus!
