Great experience! The agency and the teams are very friendly. We did the Pisco with Angel, a fantastic guide. 3 unforgettable days
It took me almost a year to post this. I still regret not paying more for a reputable agency. I also regret that I didn't file a formal complaint at the time. I didn't know you could. Ask Andean Summit to file a complaint in the Libro de Raclamaciones. They have 15 days to respond. If they refuse to give you the book or fail to address the concern, file a claim directly with INDECOPI (Av. Agustín Gamarra 671) Check Google maps reviews - the lower overall rating is more deserved than the higher rating here. I booked a Pisco climb with Andean Summit. It was horrible. Lowlights: - these guides are NOT licensed. We had to get off and take a bus past a checkpoint, because 2 foreigners and a guide would not get past a checkpoint without a license. The guide also told us to tell the park ranger at the entrance that we are all friends and not a guided trip. - agency told me on day 1 of trip that our 3-day climb would be 2 days because the guide had another excursion starting on day 3. - the guide kept pushing us to turn back early, starting before we exited the moraine field (2.5 hours in). The weather was cloudy, views bad, but I felt it had more to do with getting back so he could rest before his next excursion. - brought my gear when I booked. Lady told me my hiking boots were fine (not true), told me I only need to bring breakfast for first day. Not true - bring all but one dinner and breakfast. - went through a gear check with a guide on day 1. Needed double boots. The ones she gave me were well past expiration date. Zero cushion left. No inner laces on one boot because eyelets all broken. The tops of both boots broke off when trying to tie them - they had clearly been broken and restitched on many times. Guide said he would fix at Refugio but they were unfixable. Walked in boots that were barely on my feet. - friend’s crampons were broken. Guide had only first aid tape to fix. Gave him my duct tape and super glue, I left my more extensive kit at hostel because I expected guide to be prepared. I am glad I decided to see how this trip went before booking another expedition. Know what you are doing before going with these guys. You will get no refresher on technical skills, e.g. using an ice axe.

Just came back from a Pisco tour booked with Andean Summit. Experience was regrettable. - brought my gear when I booked. Hello Lily, I'm so sorry to tell you, but why do you lie . * When you booked the trip you said you have all the gear. * About the food I paid to the Refugie yo provide you that's why you need only the first day breakfast. * I told you the other person will do the trip in 2 days but I never told you the guide has other excursion, the guide stayed with you the 3 days. However the guide was do helpful with you helping you to carry part of you belong because your física condition was not enough. The other customer told me were so slow. Actually this customer didn't get any feedback. The guide is cualified mountain guide I sended to you his license isn't. * About the weather I can't control that it's the nature. Be honest and don lie next time. Sincerely,
My partner and I used them to book our summits. Overall, the company was very friendly, accommodating, and provided overall good experiences. However, there are some naunces. My partner ha the difficult request of wanting to complete the Pisco summit in 2 days rather than 3 and unfortunately the 2nd customer who was going to do it dropped out. The company was willing to continue the summit. We didn't understand that his guide was a guide-in-training and didn't speak English. I've been forcing my partner to learn Spanish for the past 3 years so it was a great learning experience for him and fortunately the summit went well without any safety issues. My summit of Matteo since is less challenging, had a lot more customers and certified guides. My guides were super friendly, on-time, and accommodating. My only caveat that each customer should educate themselves on each trek or mountain summit to understand what they're signing up for. In addition, each customer should ensure that their guide is certified for their own safety. I highly recommend this company!
Hello Dear, Thanks for leaving your review. It was last minute change the guide for family reasons. However the company know how safety are our stuff .my apologies to you. Kind regards,
