My tour began with an early pickup in the morning, since I was far outside the city. My driver Ricky and my tour guide Baraka were very friendly, patient, and informative. Baraka made sure that we experienced everything important in the city: the cultural museum, the tanzanite exhibition, and local life. I thought it was great that I was traveling in a group of two. This way, our questions were answered and we had enough peace and quiet even in stressful situations. Overall, a top experience (10/10). We were out and about for almost the entire day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please take this into account when making your booking. Ask for Baraka and Ricky. You will be thrilled with their care and guidance.
We also booked our airport pick up with Songbirds Safaris and everything went very smoothly. Daudi, our tour guide, was excellent. He explained to us the history and culture of Arusha and Tanzania and we was very patient adapting the schedule to our liking. Overall a great experience. We fully recommend this tour and operator.
Very knowledgeable and well cared for for us. I recommend this tour if you have time in Arusha.
The tour was excellent!! Israel was very knowledgeable and fun. He was very flexible and adjusted the day to what we wanted to see.
Pur tour guide Daudi was awesome, very friendly and smiley. He let us browse the markets at our own pace but stayed close which made us feel safe. He was very knowledgeable about every part of the tour. Honestly don't know where he keeps all this information. Our highlight was the Art gallery. But the whole tour was great from start to finish. If we had more time we would go again!

We did the walking tour with Songbirds agent and it was very good, they were flexible with picking hour as we delayed and the guide Baraka was really kind explaining Tanzania main topics and showing the local market and the city main buildings. I can recommend to book with them as per hour experience they are professional and honest

This tour was so much more than I expected—it completely exceeded my expectations! I had the chance to visit so many interesting and important places around Arusha, but my favourite was definitely the local market. It was such an authentic experience to see the atmosphere, meet local people, and learn more about the culture. My guide, Baraka, deserves a special mention. He is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and thoughtful. He made me feel safe and welcome, especially while walking through the local market. Because of him, I felt comfortable talking to local people, and he even taught me a few Swahili words and shared lots of interesting things beyond what was included in the tour. The tour was supposed to last 4 hours, but we ended up spending almost 6 hours together because he wanted to make sure I had the best experience possible. I never felt rushed. Communication before the tour was also excellent. The team responded quickly to every message and kept checking in to make sure I had all the information I needed about the meeting time, the guide, and the tour details. Their organisation was outstanding. Honestly, what more could I ask for? 😂 If you come across this tour, book it—you’ll be lucky you did! 🍀

I'm so glad I took this guided tour! Israel was very punctual collecting me at my hotel and it was comfortable and handy travelling in his van. The tour was guided by Daudi who was very friendly and patient answering to all our questions. He is a very knowledgeable guide and he is very good at sharing it with others. I really enjoyed walking around Arusha with him and I feel that I know so much about Tanzanian history after this tour. The tour lasted a few more hours than expected as Daudi did not rush us and gave us time to look at shops and at everything we wanted to. Thanks a million Daudi and Israel. I highly recommend this tour!!

This was probably the best tour bargain we have ever purchased. Israel, our guide was terrific. We were picked up and returned to our hotel which was like 20 mins+ away from town. It turned out to be an all day tour which was unexpected. It was more than reasonably priced. It was comprehensive and we were given as much time as we needed at every stop, except at the Maasaii Market, the last stop on the tour. We ended going back there on our own at the end of the tour because there are so many African crafts to see and buy. We loved the Cultural Heritage Center. The art there is exceptional. The food markets were edgy but fun and we felt much safer there with a local guide, especially in the men's side where vendors were less friendly. You don't go inside the Old Boma, but I guess it is worth seeing, as is the clock tower. The Tanzanite Experience is just an excuse to try to sell Tanzanite jewelry and could easily be dropped by the tour, but I suspect every tour operator gets a commission on anything sold there, so this is probably not an option. So men, find a seat. All in all, the tour was excellent and we would highly recommend. We felt safe and secure with Israel as our guide. If you have an extra day in our around Arusha, this is the best way to experience the town and its people.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review! I am truly honored by your kind words about our time spent exploring Arusha together. It was my absolute pleasure to ensure you felt safe, comfortable, and well looked after—especially while navigating the bustling local food markets—and to give you all the time you needed at every stop to soak in the atmosphere. I also really appreciate your honest feedback regarding the stops along the route. Your recommendation and support mean the absolute world to me and our entire local team. We hope to welcome you back to Tanzania again in the future!
A perfect and exciting experience; we learnt a great deal about the city and the country, and were able to visit everything listed in the itinerary at our own pace. Thanks to our guide Israel, who was attentive, highly professional and extremely friendly. Brilliant!
