The aquarium is very small with a limited variety of species. Overall it is well maintained but took less than 30 minutes at a very slow pace to see it all. We went to see the show afterwards that is a good distance from the actual aquarium and the film took right around 6 minutes to watch.
This was a small part of our family summer vacation. We loved the pictures taken. Also, loved the VR show too. Good experience. We all enjoyed the aquarium.
Not a huge aquarium but well maintained. Some aquariums have that fishy smell...or worse (that's usually the penguins or hippos!) This aquarium passed the smell test. If you are a REAL fish lover, you might be disappointed. But we enjoyed it and we've been to some of the biggest aquariums across the US. I was initially a little disappointed about the price since the aquarium is small (takes about a half hour to go through) but your ticket includes a VR movie which was fun. They also have rare Nevada desert fish which aren't very pretty but it is crazy to know about where their habitat. There are some guides around who will tell you more about the piranhas, etc. if you pay attention. And a ray touchtank.

We took the free tram ride (3-5 min) at 10am on July 6, Then we walked through the Mandalay Bay hotel to the aquarium (5-7 min) There was no line/ no wait. Prices were reasonable and it included a VR experience at the end of the visit. We saw sharks, sawfish, piranhas, jellyfish, all sorts of fish, different types of rays (that you could touch) & the exhibit was easy to navigate. It was full of kids and therefore a bit noisy at times, but there was no rush, no stress.... all in all it was very relaxing and a nice way to enjoy nature & beat the heat.
Great aquarium. Took lots of photos that came out fantastic. Wide variety of aquatic creatures that were gorgeous and colorful.
Short walk but very valuable, good for kids
This was so educational and fun to see all the different kinds of fish able to touch a string ray it was beautiful and the staff was excellent this is a must see in vegas
The shark reef was amazing. My family and I enjoyed seeing the fishes and sharks. My most enjoyable part was watching the turtle swim up and down the reef. I would definitely be visiting the shark reef again on my next visit to Las Vegas .
