Arcoiris Mo:Mo

We had a great time with Aayam and her sister who taught us how to do momos. Aayam is cool and professional at the same time. We recommend the Homo Momo experience!
We had such a fun time at this momo-making class in Kathmandu. The host was warm, funny, and made us feel welcome — it was a queer-friendly space, which we really appreciated. The momos were absolutely delicious, and learning to make them was a highlight of our trip!
I will start by saying that our day was not typical and became an unexpected adventure. We decided to arrive early and explore Garden of Dreams. We finished exploring and had some time before meeting with our host, Aayam. During our wait it began raining heavily. Aayam contacted us and was planning to meet us at our hotel and take us by taxi due to the rain, but we were already at the meeting place. AaThe alternate route was flooded as well. We braved the flooded street and made our way to our host's home. On arrival, Aayam had everything needed set up and arranged perfectly. We were guided through the process of momo making from start to finish. We were taught 4 different methods. I definitely need more practice as I was only able to make 2 designs decently. Momos were then prepared 2 ways, steamed and fried. They were absolutely delicious! During our experience Aayam provided conversation regarding life in Nepal, history and places to visit. Aayam is a wonderful host, made us feel comfortable, and has a great sense of humor. He made the adventure getting there well worth it!
This was really fun and delicious! Aayam provides great conversation and excellent at talking through the momo making process, recommend getting involved in the local culture and this was a fun and informative way to learn. Momos are so delicious, we opted for veg and chicken and made the dough from scratch adding colour through veg options and learnt how to fold momos 6 ways, thanks again Aayam, Jen and Kate
We enjoyed a very lovely cooking class with Ayaam, great food and good conversation. Would highly recommend this class!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! I'm thrilled to hear you had a lovely time with Ayaam, enjoying the food and good conversation. Your recommendation means a lot—hope you get to recreate some of those delicious recipes at home! 😊🍴
This is my third time in Nepal and my second time booking an activity with them. Both times 2 for 2 have been really great. I loved my guide. I loved the fun cultural experience and learning to cook. My other trip was to an ancient city. Loved it.
Thank you so much for your continued support and fabulous energy! It’s amazing to hear that Nepal has captured your heart and that both of your Queermandu experiences have been absolute slays! Whether it’s cooking up delicious dishes or stepping back in time to explore an ancient city, you’ve clearly made the most of your time here—and we’re living for it. 🌈✨ Can’t wait to see you back for round three of queer magic and cultural adventures. Nepal loves you, darling! 🏳️🌈💖
Such a good experience! What a fun and unique way to learn making momo. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable and learned us many different techniques and styles for making the momo. Also the setting with his sister and mom helping out with everything is so nice. Good vibes overall and would definitely recommend this anyone staying in Kathmandu!
Thank you for sharing such a fabulous review! It sounds like you had an amazing time learning to make momos in such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Having a friendly, knowledgeable guide and the sweet support of his sister and mom must have made it feel like cooking with family—so wholesome and wonderful! 🥟✨ Good vibes all around, indeed! Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Kathmandu—it’s the perfect mix of culture, food, and fun. Thanks again for spreading the momo love! 🌈💖
The momo class was not only instructive but also very fun! Aayam was an excellent teacher and we could really chat about any topic. Very welcoming and sweet! His business is slowly growing and we can only wish him the best for the future!
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words! It’s amazing to hear you had such a fun and welcoming experience in the momo class. Queermandu truly has a knack for making everyone feel at ease, and it sounds like the conversations and laughter were just as delightful as the cooking itself. We’re so grateful for your support and warm wishes for Queermandu’s growing business—they’re truly creating something special! Wishing you all the best too, and may your future momos always be as fabulous as this experience! 🥟🌈✨
Really fun experience making homo momo. I was the only person who joined the cooking class session but still it’s so fun. Thank you to my guide Prajeet who picked me up at my hotel lobby on time and to Aayam for teaching me how to roll those homo momos at your home. We ate the colorful momos at the end of the cooking session, and it’s served steam and fried. Queer or not, this tour is a must try.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It’s amazing to hear that even as the only participant, you had such a fun and personal time. Huge shoutout to Prajeet for being the perfect guide and to Aayam for teaching you the art of rolling those fabulous homo momos! 🌈🥟 The colorful momos, served both steamed and fried, sound absolutely delicious. And you’re so right—queer or not, this tour is a must-try for anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience. Thanks for the glowing recommendation! 💖✨
As a straight man and lifelong ally, I embraced Queemandu’s motto that “straight roads are boring” and decided to take the plunge. Forget about plain white momos - this experience was epic! Cheers to Prajeet for being such a great guide.
