En esta demostración práctica, le enseñaremos los conceptos básicos para hacer sus propios palitos de biltong: cómo seleccionar la carne, cortarla, marinarla, sazonarla, curarla y almacenarla. Ofrecemos a los veganos una alternativa sorprendentemente buena y apostamos a que tú también te volverás adicto. Descubra cómo una 'Soutie' inglesa como yo se casó con una 'Boeremeisie' afrikaans y cómo combinamos nuestras distintas y diferentes culturas. Conozca el origen del idioma afrikáans (¡el único idioma europeo nacido en África!). Le enseñaremos algunas expresiones con un fuerte 'moerkoffie' servido en una taza de hojalata junto con un trozo de Karringmelkbeskuit casero de Soutie. Creamos una atmósfera divertida y relajada con Boeremusiek (música folclórica) y algunas canciones pegadizas en afrikáans para mostrar la auténtica y afectuosa hospitalidad de nuestra nación arcoíris. Esté preparado para escuchar cuentos fantásticos, fragmentos de historia y algunos dichos clásicos en afrikáans para darle vida a sus conversaciones durante esta experiencia cultural única.

A great experience. We were welcomed in to their home and learned many things about South African culture and cooking. We went as a family and thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hours.

Lovely experience with lovely people. They have a lovely home where you’ll work with both of them to sample snacks and make biltong. It was interactive and fun and you learn a lot about the South African culture in a not so typical way. They also send you home with a little to go package. Lovely couple - would recommend to anyone.

We had a great experience. Greg was a great communicator and very accommodating. We enjoyed learning about biltong, Afrikaans history and culture in such an intimate setting. It was a unique and fun activity, one that we will certainly remember.
You're right, we also enjoy every minute we spend with guests. And, of course, we get to taste and talk about all the things we love! Thanks for choosing to spend time with us. It was so 'lekker'.
Lindie and Greg were very warm and welcoming. My husband and I really enjoyed the experienc, we learnt a lot about biltong in a fun way, we did biltong tasting and made our own biltong, the meat was so fresh that we actually tasted it raw after marinading it (optional). I highly recommend this experience as biltong is one of the most important foods in South Africa.

Greg and Lindi provide a friendly environment to learn about the history and making of billtong. It's in their home, which is nice and intimate. They provide some good tastings and you get the chnace to prepare some biltong sticks. They provide some of the recipes to you during and they have since sent me the photos and another recipie at no extra cost. if you're a meat lover its a good experience. It lasted 1.5hours. they offered thsirt to buy at the end however I would have liked to be offered to purchase some billtong or some seasonings.

We had a good time with Soutie & Boerenooi, sharing with us their stories about history of biltong, the Africaan language and more, with tasting of different biltongs, sweet snacks, brewed chicory coffee.... They made it fun and interactive.

Totally brilliant!!! Worth every cent. Rich in history and culture. A definite must-do. Even my kids were crazy about it.
