Hay siete cascadas, varias que caen en cascada en piscinas naturales. Algunas áreas son bastante rocosas y se recomiendan zapatos de río.

First off apologies for the delay in the review. We signed up for the YS Falls, Appleton Estate, Black River Safari, Pelican bar experience. Unfortunately Appleton reclosed for tours after booking and we could not go. The tour company gave us a couple alternatives but we had already been to. Ultimately the tour manager made it right in refunding that portion of the tour. So kudos for that. Much appreciated on working it out with us Meco our driver was fantastic. Picked us up promptly. Gave us the run for of the day as we headed out toward or first stop YS Falls He gave back story to the towns we traveled through mixing in history, effects from the recent hurricane, personal stories and interesting tidbits throughout the entire excursion mixing in humor along the way. He even went out of the way to take us back by a school that shared the name of the town we live in to get a picture and the sign of the town that shared a name with our daughter. Our first stop YS falls was beautiful. A short 10 minute bus ride from the main station up to the falls gave excellent views of the country side. The falls themselves stunning. They had guides to help walk people across the falls and take pictures for you. I really appreciated the signs posted that tips were appreciated but not expected and to report any requests for tips. That was nice while I gladly gave our guide a tip it wasn't pressured like some other excursions during our time there. After spending some time at the falls we returned back to the head station to a meal of Jamaican Fried Chicken, Jerk chicken or shrimp waiting for us, which was delicious and excellent. Our second stop was the Black River Safari. Our guide there was top notch giving us the history of the area, inviting crocodiles up to the boat for some chicken and telling jokes along the way. While the views were beautiful it was kind of bittersweet to hear that the area took a lot of damage from the hurricane and it would be sometime before things returned to its original beauty. Finally we went out to the Pelican Bar for a few quick drinks. Meco kept my wife company while the rest of us went out for a couple drinks. Intriguing experience but not sure something I need to do again as was a bit nerve wracking for a fat man that can't swim riding out in a small boat, but overall all a fun time After that Meco drove us back to our resort giving us more history and info along the way. Over all a terrific time. Bummer about Appleton but that was not the fault of the tour company. They more than accomadated on that front. If I ever make it back to Jamaica I sincerely hope to do more excursions with Catch a Cab N Tours. Utmost recommendations. Thanks for the spectacular time guys Yuri & Renae R.
We made the trip with Nico, one can only recommend. Super nice, we could spend all the time we wanted anywhere. There was also a lot of information about the different places on the route during the trip. YS totally nice, great facility, good lunch. Appleton also interesting, lots of info and rum tasting, here too we had enough time, even for shopping. Floyd's Pelican Bar was totally destroyed and rebuilt in the hurricane, the prices of drinks are already hefty, but you should have seen it. All in all a great day, the trip was great
The best part of our experience was Liel, our driver. He was knowledgeable and made sure we had a great experience. The only thing to keep in mind is that this is an all day excursion and there is a lot of in the car driving but it is well worth the experience.
Happy you had an amazing time. Thanks for choosing Catch A Cab N Tours. One love.
We went to Appletons Rum Distillery and YS Falls. Both were great. I did not go in the water as I have a mobility issue but enjoyed watching and took in the scenery. I learned a lot about rum at the distillery. Also had a great lunch.
We did 3 of the 4 (the pelicans bar wasn’t offered through our resort.) While it was a long day, (2 hour drive from Negril), it was a great day. YS falls had lunch options available to purchase. While our visit was quick and refreshing, it was rather short. I loved the Appleton rum tasting and tour. That place is top notch and worth the visit! The black River tour was fun, lots of crocodiles to see.
Just an amazing experience. Rum for breakfast, tour rep amazing had the best chicken patties ever xx
Happy you had an amazing day one love
It’s a great tour. Depending on where you leave from to start the tour, it’s a long ride. We left from Mobay. If that’s your pickup, take snacks. It’s a full day so don’t plan on doing anything else. The Appleton tour is really cool. If you are sensitive to strong smells, take a mask with you. It was hot the day I went and I couldn’t handle it. But I powered through. If you don’t drink rum (I don’t) don’t try anything. Don’t get me wrong - Appleton is very good rum. After learning so much about it I was proud to buy it. The rum in the gift shop is reasonably priced and make great souvenirs. YS falls was a lot of fun. Lots of great photo ops. The tour guides are very helpful and ensure your safety. The Black River safari was also interesting. Got a little rain when we went and saw a double rainbow. Made the experience even more unique for me. Floyd’s Pelican bar is okay - it’s food. Lol. But the tour is worth it. I enjoyed it very much.
Happy you had a great time while visiting my island home paradise.
What a fun experience this was! The Appleton rum tour was full of history on how to make rum, and they even involve you in on the process. YS falls was beautiful. The air was so fresh and there’s so many beautiful areas to take pictures. A guide will even take you through the water and make sure you get the best pictures. The black river safari was fun, even though we only saw two crocodiles. The weather was a little rainy, so that could be why we didn’t see much. Floyd’s pelican bar was very interesting. The food was delicious, and me and my husband got our names carved into the bar. The food does take a while to make, but they warn you about that once you order. There were crabs crawling all over the bar, which was very fun to see. The best part of the experience however, was our driver Nathaniel. He was super informative about Jamaica as a whole and he even let us make stops to try some of the best local food around. We appreciated his generosity so much, and he really made the experience a 10/10 for us!
Thanks for choosing this experience happy you had an amazing driver feel free to request your driver on your next visit to paradise
Don’t book this, it’s a scam. We booked this excursion for the above listed locations and when the driver arrived he said we’re only going to the Black River Safari. We asked to go back to our resort as that is not a $360 outing. They refused refund saying that’s all we booked was the Safari. We went through our resort at the same price and enjoyed the outing. ***Do not book here, go through your resort!!!***
You booked the wrong tour option and you received an email the day before your excursion about where you’d be taken based on what you paid for on viator on the day of your excursion you wanted a free upgrade however the timing would not allow this so your tour was canceled and a refund was issued to you on the same platform you booked with less than a week.
We just returned from our trip to Jamaica and will forever recommend O'Dane and Catch a Cab N Tours for anyone wanting to experience all that Jamaica has to offer! O'Dane was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and was an all around great guide. He helps to make the most out of your trip! He was happy to answer all of our questions and provide recommendations on other things to make sure to check out next time we visit. Had we had more time in Jamaica, we would have booked another day with him without hesitation. Definitely worth booking!
Happy you had a blast it was a pleasure showing you around and I’m looking forward to seeing you again here in paradise until then one love.
