Representa una página extraordinaria escrita por el hombre a lo largo de los milenios de esta larguísima historia. Patrimonio de la Humanidad desde 1993 y Capital Europea de la Cultura en 2019. Con el clásico y típico Ape Calessino (tuk tuk), una leyenda Italiano , muy apreciada por las familias, sobre todo con niños en cochecitos, recorreremos el centro histórico y los Sassi, dado que caminar es muy cansado, sobre todo en verano, recorriendo a toda velocidad las calles y callejones característicos, haciendo breves paradas para fotos y vídeos y para visitar iglesias en las plazas y características casas cueva (Casas Museo).

Interesting tour through the Sassi di Matera with a visit to a typical house and stops to photograph the uniqueness of this city. The guide explained the history very well to us. I highly recommend it to those who wish to discover Matera in a short time and comfortably. The Ape calessino is in itself a unique experience.

We chose to do this experience also because with a 4-year-old girl who gets tired easily, it was a very interesting experience; the tuk-tuk driver was very kind, so I would recommend it.

Better indicate the address and mention where parking can be done. The ad says 1 hour, but the trip took 45 min. Guide was very kind.
We had a great time on the Ape Calessino Tour of the Sassi di Matera. It was such a fun and unique experience riding through the narrow streets. The tour is well-paced and covers the main highlights of the Sassi, with interesting information along the way. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience both enjoyable and informative. For all we were in Matera for 3 nights, this tour would be ideal if you’re only there for a short period of time, as it gives you a great overview without feeling rushed. Maybe not the best value for money for a 45 minute experience however, still highly recommended.

Antonio was very helpful and knowledgeable, an excellent tour for our first time in Matera, as a general visit. He stops several times at strategic viewpoints. Next time, we definitely need to take a different tour to enter the Sassi. The only thing, perhaps for the price of 35 euros each, we were four, the 50 minutes could be extended. Anyway, you get an excellent view of both the old and new city.
