A magnificent experience; garden admirably maintained, surprising works of art in a perfect setting.

ANIMA Garden was a wonderful and unexpected addition to our Moroccan itinerary. Set outside Marrakech, the gardens are unlike anywhere else we visited during our trip. It is an extraordinary combination of exotic planting, sculpture, art and beautifully designed spaces, with something interesting around virtually every corner. We particularly enjoyed the way the garden constantly surprised us. Rather than simply being a collection of plants, it feels like an enormous outdoor artwork, with sculptures and installations appearing amongst the lush vegetation and creating some wonderfully unusual views. After the heat and intensity of Marrakech, it was also a lovely place to slow down and wander at our own pace. The contrast between the dry Moroccan landscape outside and the extraordinary greenery within the garden makes the experience even more impressive. We stopped for lunch during our visit, which made it an easy and enjoyable half-day trip from Marrakech. ANIMA isn’t necessarily the first place that comes to mind when planning a visit to Marrakech, but we are very glad we included it. A fascinating, quirky and beautiful place that was quite unlike anything else on our holiday.

It is the best and most reliable activity we have done as a family near Marrakech. We are a family of 4 people and loved this activity. We took the free van available from the city center for the trip there and back. We had enough time to visit and have lunch on site. The quality of the meals could be improved, but the service was very pleasant.

Beautiful, peaceful, serene space. Plenty of places to sit and relax, in the sun and in the shade. Lovely sculptures, hammocks and water features. 2 hours is plenty to see most of the garden. We got the free ANIMA shuttle from Marrakech to ANIMA at 0930, return at 1300. The return trip in the afternoon was insane. 54oC inside the van. A full shuttle with 18pax, including 3 children who almost passed out from the heat. The van had no working air-conditioning, even though we were told it was working and we just had to wait for it to come on. 3 times several pax asked the driver to please turn it up, or wind down the front windows (no opening windows anywhere else). Eventually he wound the windows down, however the pax in the front passenger seat found it too windy so she wound it back up again.... Disappointing, almost deathly end to a lovely morning.

Great garden and very beautiful art by André Heller. Highly recommended, few visitors. 100 times better than Maiorelle Garden, which is just for tourists. The Amina Garden is a dream.

ANIMA Garden is easily one of the best hidden gems just outside Marrakech. It’s the perfect half-day trip down Route de l'Ourika. The garden is filled with amazing exotic plants and incredible sculptures by world-famous artists. It is much bigger, quieter, and more relaxed than Jardin Majorelle, making it the perfect place to take stunning photos without the crowds. The paths are very clean and flat, and the whole place just feels magical. Highly recommend taking a private drive or booking the shuttle out here for a fresh breath of air!

Utterly stunning gardens with fun, playful sculptures throughout. The facilities are top notch too. Gorgeous rooftop terrace with views to the Atlas Mountains. The free shuttle bus from the Koutoubia Mosque was perfect and after l took unwell due to the heat the lovely driver went above and beyond to help, he drove me close to my hotel after l fainted. Despite this l had a brilliant experience and its not a mobbed attraction like so many in Marrakech, a perfect afternoon away from the chaos that is the Medina!

Lovely tranquil place amongst the chaos, but don’t take the morning free shuttle as too , afternoon with shorter time would have been better. Great if have own transport

We have visited many gardens during our travels, often very beautiful, and this one is unclassifiable by its design and originality. Impressive works of art to discover at every turn of the gentle path traced through an extraordinary garden. It can be visited in small steps as the details here and there are not to be missed, painted bamboos, supports of sculpted trees... Early morning visit, no big crowds and a very nice cafe with a large terrace to wrap up the visit. Practical advice: a small free shuttle (on-line registration and quickly complete- anticipate your resa ) takes you there in less than an hour from Koutoubia, be punctual, it leaves on time! A very good time. We recommend.
