We had the most incredible day in the Andes! We had a long stopover in Santiago, and were picked up and dropped off to the airport. We went on the most amazing drive through the Cajon del Maipo, stopping at various sites. Our guide Rai was so knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and made sure we had an amazing time. The communication with (a different) Rai beforehand was excellent over email and Whatsapp. The price was absolutely worth the convenience and experience. I can’t recommend this team more, we can’t wait to come back one day!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed your day in the Andes during your stopover, and that both the experience and communication worked perfectly for you. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back to the mountains someday! Warm regards, Rai – AndoAndes
we did the tour with Andres and had a fantastic time, the scenerie and lake is one thing, what made a big difference were the explanations and comments from Andres about Flora & Fauna very knowledgeable and authentic !
Fantastic day trip. Our guide Gonzalo and driver Carlos really looked after us. The scenery was amazing and Gonzalo was very knowledgeable about all aspects of Chile! Flora, fauna, history, politics, geology..etc. We were provided with lovely, locally sourced food and even a glass of wine with our picnic. Highly recommend this tour!
Our tour with Gabriel M Zapata was one of the best tours I have experienced. He presented much information on all the topics we were interested in - displaying a wide body of knowledge about Chile, its people, economy, geology, culture and resources. He was a perfect guide, attuned to our particular interests, and a gracious host. I would return for another tour with him absolutely! AND!!!!….we watched a group of five Andean Condors soaring up close! Thanks to Gabriel & our driver Oscar, who spotted the condors and stopped the van. Magical.
A truly memorable day from start to finish. Our guide, Gabriel was excellent. His English was fluent and he was able to share his extensive knowledge of his country in a way that was structured, engaging and informative. His driver, Oscar was steady and helpful. The day was a delight culminating with our time up in the mountains meeting all our expectations. A packed lunch was included and this was laid out for us in a delightful rustic bar:cafe.
Gabriel was an outstanding guide and Oscar was a skilled driver. Four of us had a stellar experience that included watching a family of condors flying near us and many scenic stops to enjoy the stunning environment. Highly recommended!
This tour is not to be missed! Our local guide, Chris, was the absolute best - so knowledgeable, personable and flexible! We had the opportunity to ‘design our day’ at different points, which was great! My husband and I both walked away saying it was the BEST tour we had done on our 5 week South American adventure! The scenery was so picturesque and we were lucky enough to see some amazing wildlife including a condor, the largest butterfly in Chile, along with some goannas/lizards. The stop off at the Geo Park was one of the many highlights. Do yourself a favour and book this tour. Keep your fingers crossed that you get Chris as your guide as you’ll be sure to have a great time!
The Andes were great. Francisco was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating of our needs. Plus he provided a very nice picnic by the river
We had an amazing time in the Cajón del Maipo and the Embalso el Yeso. Thanks to our guide, Sebastian, we experienced this area in the best way possible. He shared his expansive knowledge with us, brought us to the best photography spots, made some great fajitas and even organised a picnic. We even saw a condor fly directly over our heads! We want to thank him one more time for the great time and the good recommendations for our stay in Chile. Best wishes!
Hi Milan ! thanks for the kind words, we´re very happy that you had a wonderful day and that you could spot a condor ! The best to you to for the upcoming year !
Guys, I didn't explain how the two who accompanied us were amazing, made a day that was already special perfect. It didn't matter the demonstrations along the way, we learned about history, debated politics and walked through the most beautiful places I've ever been in my life. It was amazing, I recommend, did not regret, it was very fun and definitely worth it, it was much more than we expected. It is worth noting that I lost all the photos I had from the trip and had one more amazing than the other one from this tour, but the guide sent me several photos he had taken with us and at least I have those photos to remember from the incredible moment.
