Thank you to Viator for having wonderful tours to choose from and wonderful people to speak with! Our first tour in Amsterdam was the Van Gogh Museum.. We were walking to the tour on a beautifully sunny day when I missed a step onto the walkway, twisted my ankle and broke a done in my foot. After seeing a doctor, spending time at the hospital and arriving back at the hotel later than I could cancel 3 of our 4 — not that I would have been able to cancel anything at that time! In the end, they agreed to refund our $$ and wished me well! Thank you! I am still still a mess, but so appreciate your care!

I paid for a guided tour. I was instructed to look for a sign with my name on it outside the entrance . No one showed up .I went inside , was given a headset , that was my guide . This is the second bad experience that I have had with Viator on this trip . I am a Travel Agent and beginning to look at other companies that offer tours .

This museum experience and guided tour via headset was excellent. One of the best guided museum tours. I little confusion as to if it was a person guided tour or self guided based on title of the Viator experience. I had to email the contact to really define what the experience would be. Having the tickets ahead of time was nice as it is a popular museum to visit.

Booked this tour thru Viator as it was highly recommended. Two days before tour got a message saying tickets ready to download, they were not, then one day before got another message to say tickets ready to download and they were not. Got a message morning of tour saying tickets were ready to download. They were not. Went to the museum and staff said message is not enough for entry as they don't store other third party vendor tickets and that I need the downloaded tickets and QR code. I tried to open tickets thru download tab from all 3 messages and from Viator app and could not get any tickets. Called two separate numbers for Viator on the booking listing which now cost me International phone and roaming charges for phone usage and got answering machines. Museum staff then called on my behalf and spoke to a representative who said that my tickets were cancelled two hours before our entry time and that they sent me an email. There was never any such email as we (museum staff and myself) looked thru my entire phone and Viator app and no messages. Museum staff then requested a supervisor who came on and said they'd be refunding my money in 5-7 days, after they spoke to me. So staff gave me my phone and I confirmed it was me and I gave the museum staff the booking reference number to confirm to the Viator supervisor. Supervisor said there was nothing they could do but refund my money as the tour operator did not have any tickets for me after I paid for them. Then I received an email saying that my money would be refunded but I was not getting any tickets to see the Van Gogh Museum thru them or thru Viator for that day. Never felt so embarrassed as trying to prove that I had tickets that were paid for, thru Viator and Museum staff insistent that I did not. Had planned this tour well in advance and now the mental anguish of being embarrassed for not having tickets, basically ruined a big part of our vacation. Next day I get a survey to ask how the tour was? WHAT TOUR!

We enjoyed the collection and learning about the artist. The museum was clean. Some of the staff were rude and not helpful. We weren’t sure at the end of the audio tour how to return to the entrance so we could turn in our devices. We ask a staff member and she gruffly said”just the way you got here.” So we ask another and he said find the stairs.

Van Gogh museum is worth the visit! But had to pay premium dollars using Viator. Recommend paying online through the museum directly but you have to plan early or you won’t be able to get tickets. I had a problem with the local tour operator (Tourencia LLC) because I did not get an email within 24 hrs of purchasing tickets through Viator. I contacted Viator through chat and email advising I have not received my email tickets. I only received email tickets the morning when I was going to museum.

Make your reservations early. The staff was very welcoming. The audio was easy to understand and follow. The museum is very crowded so be patient. We enjoyed lunch at the upstairs cafe.

Perfect for a last minute ticket! This helped me out in a pinch when tickets were sold out and I was unable to get a ticket for my last day in Amsterdam. Was sent the tickets without a problem, with a ticket for the audio guide. Paid a little more than if I planned ahead, but happy I was ultimately able to get a ticket. Highly recommend!

The check in was fast and easy. The exhibits and history was excellent. The exhibits were in big rooms that accompanied large groups.
