Descubre la magia del Parque Nacional Cajas, uno de los lugares más bellos de Sudamérica, en un tour de un día completo de aproximadamente 7 horas. Explora y aprende sobre la vegetación andina. En este espectacular lugar podrás disfrutar de un sistema lacustre que cuenta con más de 200 lagos de origen glacial. Además del hermoso paisaje, se puede disfrutar de la presencia de hermosas aves, llamas y alpacas. El parque se encuentra a 30km al oeste de la ciudad de Cuenca, entre los 3160 y 4450msnm, la superficie del parque es de 28544 hectáreas y predomina el ecosistema conocido como páramo. ¡Experimenta lo auténtico!

El guía lo recogerá de su hotel o apartamento para viajar 1 hora al mirador de 3 Cruces. Durante el viaje el guía le dará información relevante sobre la zona.
Aquí en el mirador de 3 Cruces, el guía nos explicará sobre la cuenca continental y también sobre la importancia religiosa de este lugar, especialmente para los viajeros. Para los amantes de la fotografía, cuando el clima lo permita, se pueden tomar excelentes fotos del paisaje del Parque Cajas desde sus diferentes miradores.
Después de visitar 3 Cruces recorrerás 10min para llegar a la parte media del Parque Cajas ubicado a 3.960msnm aprox. aquí caminarás unas 3 horas o más en la zona de Toreadora dependiendo del ritmo del grupo. La caminata le dará la oportunidad de disfrutar del hermoso paisaje, incluyendo el bosque de Polylepis, varios lagos y el ecosistema de páramo también conocido como páramo andino, su guía le proporcionará información sobre la flora y fauna de la zona. Y si te gusta la fotografía natural Cajas Park es un lugar increíble para eso. Si tienes suerte también hay oportunidad de ver lamas.
HORA DEL ALMUERZO: La comida ecuatoriana es muy variada y deliciosa. En este tour tendrás la oportunidad de probar una deliciosa sopa más un plato principal y para nuestros clientes vegetarianos tenemos una muy buena opción para ellos.
Después del almuerzo viajará 20 minutos para tener una breve visita complementaria al valle de Llaviuco, ubicado en la parte baja del Parque Nacional de Cajas a aproximadamente 3200 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Aquí podrás disfrutar de un paisaje diferente con muchos árboles nativos que forman parte del bosque cordillerano andino, tu guía te explicará sobre algunas plantas medicinales y representativas de este ecosistema, además podrás ver el origen del río Tomebamba, considerado el río más importante de la ciudad de Cuenca
Después de visitar el valle del Llaviuco, el guía lo llevará de regreso a la ciudad de Cuenca para dejarlo en su hotel. El viaje dura alrededor de 1 hora.

We had a great day out with Wilson showing us the beauty of Parque Nacional Cajas. Plenty of stops to admire the scenery and learn about the history, flora and fauna. Highly recommend Wilson’s friendly and informative guidance!
It was just a small group and our guide Diego. I want to say that Diego was great. He was very knowledgeable and informative about the flora, fauna, and the park in general. The hike itself was close to 3 hours and I'd say mild-medium difficulty if you have any kind of experience. Definitely one of the highlights if you are in the Cuenca region and worth a day's visit.
We had an excellent tour of Cajas National Park with Edison as our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the local plants, wild life, and history of the area and did a great job answering our questions leading our hike through the park. It really elevated the experience to get this kind of first hand local knowledge. I'd highly recommend this tour if you have the chance.

Moses arrived on-time for the pickup. He was knowledgeable & took breaks when he saw I needed one. Beautiful landscape. Elevation on the trail wasn’t too bad, but at 3800m, I was needing oxygen.
