Increíble Amazonia 2 días, 1 noche: Amazon Wonder Expeditions

It was very organized. Was able to see multiple animals out in the wild. Overall a great experience. Eduardo was a great tour guide very knowledgeable.

Great tour and a nice stay at the lodge. The food was nice and the activities were fun, even if we didn't see all the native animals. Our guide was knowledgeable and familiar with the local culture. Truly unique experience.

Luis was a wonderful guide. He made sure we experienced so much during our 2 days. We fished for piranha, visited a local tribe, saw so many amazing birds and animals. Luis is a fountain of knowledge. Would recommend for anyone wanting to experience the Amazon!

We had an unforgettable experience with this tour. Amazons is nothing like you’ve ever seen and we had an amazing guide Luis. Luckily for us the tours before and after ours were full but during our day, it was just us. It was a very rainy day but our guide Luis still showed us the local market and introduced various local delicacies. He was very knowlegable and friendly. He described many species we saw with pictures and told what makes them special. The tour has a private cook and the food was really delicious. We opted for a private cabin to stay and it had everything you’d need; towels, shampoo, soap, electric fan, private bathroom and toilet. Distilled water was also included in our trip. 10/10 recommend.

I had always wanted to see the Amazon, and Eduardo and his crew were great in allowing us to see everything in the short time we were there. Vastly different to Cusco or Lima, the area was teeming with wildlife and biodiversity. You are at the luck of nature a little withthe time of your experience, but we were fortunate enough to see sloths, snakes, caiman, and countless birds. The wet season also lended itself to some interesting "paddle-hiking" instead of a walk. Made it look like a town above water. Highly recommended!

Big shout out to Alan - co-founder/co-owner of Amazon Wonder Expeditions. We were not clients of Alan or this business, but fate had Alan and his clients on our boat and staying at the same camp. Alan was thoroughly engaging and informative, and included us in his discussions along with his own clients. We learned everything about the Amazon wildlife from Alan (in stark contrast to our own somewhat silent guide). While at the camp it was Alan who mingled, and came and chatted and checked how we were going. And we noted with envy what a better Amazon experience Alan’s clients were having compared to us! 5-star service from someone who actually didn’t need to provide any service to us!!

I've been to Iquitos several times and I can say hands down my experience with Amazon Wonder Experience has been the highlight of not only this trip but all my trips combined when it comes to being shown what Iquitos offers. We did our research on a 2 day tour trip and AWE was highly recommended online as well as by the Hotel we stayed at. As an American, you have to be very careful who you choose because, unfortunately, there are a lot of scammers in Iquiotos. Owned and operated by a father and son duo (Luis and Allen), they were very friendly, spoke english, knew a lot about the city, what to do, WHERE to eat (Check out Blankquitas's for fried Paiche!), and what we were seeing while floating down the Amazon. We opted for the two day trip and left approx 10a. We were escorted from our hotel to the port, where we boarded their small boat and went off on our adventure. We did everything their itinerary offered and even got to ride around when it rained, which was refreshing and a welcome respite from the sun. We ended off our trip with lunch (a regional dish called Juana) on the boat in the middle of the river, quietly in our own world. I definitely plan on coming back to do the multi-day trips with AWE. Highly recommended! PS. Bring lots of water and sunblock!
