There are many steep parts to the itinerary. Get an e-bike if you are not fit. The wind can also pose an obstacle.

The one star is NOT related to The poor experience was not related to Unlimited Bikes they are top notch. This was due to VIATOR. It was a complete cluster finding reservation, having to call VIATOR 4 times in order to recieve confirmation and tickets, even though the charge you immediately. The best help we received was from the company itself. My bike ended up with a broken chain, this happens, but they were very quick to come assist us. My advice, reserve your bike from Unlimited Bikes and NOT Viator. The staff are excellent, helpful, and the patience they had to resolve our reservation exceeded expectations. Again DOT NOT rent from VIATOR go to UNLIMITED BIKES for the best experience.

Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge by bike is a unique experience: wonderful photo opportunities, a great view of San Francisco Bay and a rapid descent to Sausalito. For passionate cyclists, the ride from Fisherman's Wharf to Sausalito is actually too short at around 15 km. It is therefore advisable to continue past Sausalito. Shortly after this, an excellent cycle path with scenic highlights begins. If you go around the bay, after 40 km you will reach the elite town of Tiburon, which is actually even more inviting than Sausalito. From there, you can take the ferry back to San Francisco in half an hour for 14 USD.

Great service from the time we walked in. We hired bikes for 4 hours as our kids are 9 & 11 so didn’t want to feel rushed. Bikes were in great condition. Would use again.

The online booking worked very well. Even talking to a female employee on the phone and getting tips. On site unfortunately two loquacious employees and especially rickety EBikes, a brake did not work, it squeaked, no bell, no bicycle bag or basket (although agreed). Since there are directly next to other bike rentals, I would not book here next time.
