Alpamayo Trek 12 días - Programa de Apoyo Comunitario

I returned to the Cordillera Blanca after 25 years – this time with a group of six friends. We entrusted the organization to professionals from Huaraz. We chose a private, exclusive trekking option. Anna and Hisao worked very well together before departure. We were picked up at the airport and transported to the beautiful and comfortable Hotel Morales. For the first three days, we used their transportation to the day hikes. After this acclimatization, we spent 12 wonderful days on the beautiful trail around Alpamayo. Our team consisted of seven staff members, 14 donkeys, and two horses. We were amazed by the quality of service in every respect. We had excellent communication with our English-speaking guide, Jhon. He knew the mountains intimately and had extensive experience leading trekking tours, ensuring that, despite the challenges of acclimatizing to the high altitude, we enjoyed every pass we conquered. We stayed overnight in beautiful locations, along rivers and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The chef surprised us daily with original dishes. The donkey drivers were very efficient in breaking down camps and moving them over the next mountain passes. The tents prepared for us were of excellent quality.
