Pista de patinaje sobre hielo Medeu: Situado a gran altitud, Medeu es una de las pistas al aire libre más grandes del mundo, conocida por su hermoso telón de fondo de montaña. Es un lugar popular para patinar, especialmente en invierno, y una forma divertida de experimentar el amor de Almaty por los deportes.
Ubicado en las impresionantes montañas Trans-Ili Alatau, Shymbulak es un paraíso para el esquí y el snowboard en invierno, y un gran lugar para practicar senderismo y vistas durante todo el año. Es un paseo rápido en teleférico desde la ciudad y ofrece cafés, restaurantes y un paisaje alpino impresionante.

Catedral de Zenkov: Situado en el Parque Panfilov. Construido sin un solo clavo, es uno de los edificios de madera más altos del mundo y una parte única de la historia de Almaty.
Koktobe ofrece las mejores vistas panorámicas de Almaty y las montañas más allá. En la parte superior, donde se encuentra un pequeño parque de atracciones, cafeterías y la emblemática Torre de TV Koktobe, una de las torres más altas del mundo. La Torre de TV Kok-Tobe es una torre de radiodifusión y televisión en Almaty, Kazajistán, construida entre 1975 y 1983. Fecha de puesta en marcha: 1 de junio de 1984. La torre es la segunda estructura independiente más alta de Kazajistán y la 41a más alta del mundo (9a más alta del mundo en el momento de la puesta en servicio), y la 14a torre de televisión más alta del mundo (4a más alta del mundo en el momento de la puesta en servicio). La torre se encuentra debajo de la cumbre del Monte Kok-Tobe, al sureste del centro de la ciudad. Altura de la torre: 371,5 m. Altura de la torre sobre el nivel del mar: 1.452 m (junto con el Monte Kok-Tobe).

Shymbulak was the highlight of this trip. Beautiful views at the top and even in the cable car ride. We travelled in July and it was hot! The cable car ride felt long and unbearable because of the weather. Abukhair, our guide was great, and took time to show us around and despite the hot weather, his spirits were high. Medeu ice rink was closed and there was nothing much to do there other than getting a coffee. The green bazar is a good place to get some souvenirs. Koktobe had nice views of the city and the fast coaster is a must do.

Our tour guide Zhanna was fantastic, very friendly and professional. Everything was top-notch organized, and we were very well informed.
It's a nice experience to walk a cross Almaty, from top in snow mountain until down town, what a wonderfull day
Too expensive but I did not enjoy. I should have just done a DIY. You have to message the tour operator's WhatsApp to know where the actual meeting point is. Additionally, the instruction via WhatsApp mentioned that the tour bus would easily recognisable but it wasn't the case at all. I had to ask the driver if he was driving for JoinMe Asia. Most of us were earlier than the tour guide. Overall, the itinerary was also lackluster. No free bottle of water unlike the other tour operators, and no hotel pick-up.
Slow and long but definitely worthwhile the trip. Almaty is spread out and has so much to offer. On this trip, you find out about so many facets of this city. From 3200 metres altitude to the beautiful cathedral. Deniz our guide was fantastic and bright and able to explain it all.
We booked the tour at night for the next day morning but The tour operator did not connect with us at all. The tour operator did not show up at the pick up location. He did not even bothered to connect us, call us or reply us on app or reply to the Viator executives also. He left us and took our money and on top of that the app executives denied our refund citing that the tour operator has rejected the refund. How the culprit is allowed to pass judgement on his own wrongdoings. It’s extremely pathetic to waste our day in the hope of this tour. Better to opt for any other good tour operator.
Tour price was equivalent to worth trip! No regrets everything was set and perfect. I highly suggest to get a private tour no hassle and smooth travel only.
