Outstanding! It was amazing. Get ready for a lot of steps. I learned a lot. I found it fascinating!!!! I had always saw it next to the cruise ship when I go on a cruise, and I finally had time and so happy I made the time to see this. Excellent!!!
This is the lamest military museum worship that I've ever been on. You have zero access to the 5-in guns or the 16 inch guns or the engine room. But if you go on the USS Alabama and the USS North Carolina you can go anywhere including the bridge.
Incredible experience to see this ship
Not really too good for seniors that need a cane , can’t use a walker. The parking at the battleship was closed and the walk from another parking lot was very long, almost gave up. Booking was not correct in information given. There was no start time even though ticket shows a tour time and there were very few people on ship even though there was supposedly no space to add one visitor.
Wonderful experience to see an amazing piece of American history. You truly get a feel for what it was like to be out on the Open Seas with 1500 individuals on a lethal platform
Great self guided tour. There is a restoration project of the deck ongoing on that did not hinder the experience. At the end there is a museum and a food truck. At the museum you could buy metal cabinets from the original Iowa ship.
very interesting and fun Staff were all friendly and informative a real feel for the times and technology
Staff was extremely helpful. We had several special requests and all were met. Our tour person was GREAT. We are planning on a return tour I a few yrs after some of renovations are made.
Purchased the guided tour which lasted 2 1/2 hours. What an amazing experience. Captain Richard was extremely knowledgeable of the USS Iowa and it’s history. I would recommend the guided tour.
Second time visiting Iowa after 7 years, such a great and beautiful ship. The crew aboard is nice and informative and it's just a really great piece of history and I appreciate everyone aboard and people who have contributed to keep this ship a museum and make it presentable to the public definitely deserves 5 out of 5 stars
