Según el horario solicitado, el guía turístico lo recogerá de su hotel en Asuán y lo conducirá hacia el sur de Asuán, que está a aproximadamente 3 horas en automóvil para disfrutar de la excursión de un día a Abu Simbel desde Asuán en un vehículo con aire acondicionado. Los dos templos de Abu Simbel, con su estilo único, se consideran obras maestras del antiguo Egipto. Reflejan la gloria y la grandeza del nuevo Reino. El gobierno egipcio y la UNESCO decidieron cooperar para salvar estos templos de la inundación. El Templo de Ramsés II estaba dedicado a los cuatro dioses universales Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amón-Re y al propio Ramsés II. El gran templo de Abu Simbel también se llama Templo del Sol de Ramsés II. El Templo de la Reina Nefertari también se llama Templo de Hathor, quien era la esposa del Dios Sol, por lo que de manera simbólica, los dos Templos, el de Ramsés II y el de Nefertari, reúne a Ramsés II, Nefertari, Hathor y el Dios Sol como uno solo. Pasará unas 3 horas allí y luego emprenderá el camino de regreso a Asuán.

This was a good trip. We had a minibus just for the 4 of us, and a guide joined us as of Aswan. They took us to a nice restaurant afterwards, in Abu Simbel town, a bit away from the site, so with acceptable pricing.
Abu Simbel is a great temple to visit despite the world. However, we question the usefulness of the guide for this visit. We spent a total of 10 minutes with the guide who showed us pictures of the inside of the temple because he could not enter. The explanations were quick and we were dispatched. In addition, the car for 8 hours round trip was out of age and not comfortable.

We would like to clarify a couple of important points regarding your experience. At Abu Simbel Temple, licensed tour guides are not permitted to enter the temple and provide explanations inside. This is an official regulation applied to all tour guides. Therefore, the historical explanation is always given before entering the temple, often using photographs to help visitors understand the carvings and scenes they will see during their self-guided visit inside. Regarding the vehicle, we were surprised by your comment. All tourist transportation vehicles used for this excursion comply with the regulations of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, which require licensed tourist vehicles to be modern, regularly inspected, and maintained. The vehicle used for your tour was a recent model that fully met these official standards. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for visiting Egypt. Included in the excursion was a bottle of water and a snack that we were not given. It says the guide was coming with us from Aswan and you picked him up 5 minutes from Abu Simbel. The explanation was correct.
It was just perfect! The smooth communication via what’s app to schedule the hotel meeting, the driver’s drive and the guide who spoke excellent French made this experience an unforgettable moment to discover this sublime site! The possibility to leave out of step with the groups of tourists (they leave at 4am) means that we end up on the site with much fewer tourists and allows to fully enjoy the places. Support top! Be careful if you stay on an island the rendezvous will be on the east shore of Aswan but the connection is simple (ferry 15EG/pers) Our guide Ahmed Salah was perfect! He even pointed us to a great restaurant before the return. Departed at 9am - arrive 12.30pm in Abu Simbel - left at 3pm after the restaurant - return Aswan 6pm
Excellent tour highly recommended. 3 hr drive each way, glad it wasn't me driving. The site itself was impressive.
I had booked and confirmed this trip with the tour operator, Marawan, well ahead of time. Yet, on the day, we could not find the driver. The operator asked us to look for a grey car! But since this was a public park and there were lots of cars parked there, I asked him to let the driver come to us and identify himself. The driver came and he was in a small old sedan car. This made the 3.5 hour trip very uncomfortable. The trip was to include a private tour guide, snacks and bottled water and entrance fees. None of it was prepared; when we arrived at the temple, the driver dropped us off and asked how much time we need! When I explained to the driver that there should be a guide waiting for us, he called Marawan and I spoke to him. He said, yes, don't worry, the guide is already there and waiting for you. The driver apologised and said that he had no prior knowledge as he doesn't work for the company, but his brother did and they only called him last minute to cover! The guide then called and also said that he was not aware and in fact he was at home and not onsite and would need 20 minutes to come to us and was also called last minute. Ahmed (+20 11 04829758) was our driver for the 3 1/2 hour drive each way. He knows the roads very well and was a reliable driver. He was punctual and went out of his way to make us feel safe.
