Roberto was an excellent guide! We had some initial problems with the tour company because the tour was supposed to start at the Cruise Terminal and they kept telling us to go to a cathedral. We were able to connect with Robert and he walked to our group's location. You could tell Robert is very proud of his city and he had an outstanding depth of knowledge of its history. There were 8 in our group with some having slight mobility issues and Roberto kept a comfortable pace for all. Highly recommend Roberto and this tour!
Tour was canceled at last moment. We had scheduled over a month in advance. Of 7 tours we scheduled in advance with Viator for this trip, we have had 1 no show guide, one last minute cancellation and a guide who was 2 hours late and clueless. Be careful!
Unfortunately, I can not leave a good review for this company since they canceled our tour abruptly. 2 days before the tour they sent an email that stated they were working on assigning a guide to us. The follow day, a day before the tour, they cancelled us. They said it was because of high demand. That is not professional or satisfactory. They did, however, state they would give us a full refund which we are waiting for. We were able to tour on our own, with no problems at all, since it is a very walkable city. We saw more on our own then we would have seen on this tour. Buyer beware of this company. In all the countries we have ever visited this is the 1st time a company has ever canceled us. We scheduled the tour weeks before our cruise. I hope this tour works out for everyone else, just be careful!
No tour guide showed up. I know they were having trouble finding a guide, but we got no official cancellation and was still charged. thankfully I was able to get a refund.
Beautiful city! Our tour guide, Giulia, was wonderful. We learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the comprehensive visit to Aarhus.
We were expertly guided around the city by David. He was full of fascinating facts and told us much more of the background to the city’s history and architecture that we would have never discovered on our own as well as explaining many of the amazing street art murals that adorn walls and building ends around the city. We saw hidden things we would never have found and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Thoroughly recommend doing this (wrap up warm if it’s winter - there’s a chill breeze).
Aarhus is a charming village. Our guide and right on time. Her knowledge was excellent. Stories of the area and culture were a great add to the excursion.
David was a wonderful host for my solo day trip to Aarhus - skillfully blending history, art, and culture! He provided a great introduction to the city. Especially enjoyed the detours to see some of the amazing street art.
David Lyle-Carter gave us a great tour of Aarhus. He was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Denmark and shared an excellent description within St. Clemens church .
Would never have known as much about this great city without out your with Thor. We were only in port from our cruise for a few hours. He was so knowledgeable- we thoroughly enjoyed every minute and fun fact he had to share. Can't say enough positive thinks. It really is a must if you're visiting the city.
