Wonderful tour! The food was delicious and good serving sizes. Interesting facts and just the right amount of walking vs. sitting in cool restaurants. Great way to spend 3 hours of the day! Would liked to have heard more historical information about the city - but did get great historical information about the food scene. It was a small group and we received a lot of personal attention.
We’re delighted you enjoyed the delicious food, generous portions, small-group experience, and balance of walking and relaxing inside our restaurant partners. Our tours are food-focused, so the history we share along the way is thoughtfully woven into the history and culture of the neighborhood, its food scene, and the people and places that have shaped it. We’re so glad you enjoyed that perspective and appreciated the personal attention from your guide. Thanks for spending three delicious hours of your day with us!

I’ve taken many food tours, all over the world…this is the best one I’ve ever taken! Judy is an exceptional tour guide & having Jill along was such a nice addition. The food is the absolute star of this tour, tho!!
Thank you so much for this amazing review—it really means a lot, especially coming from someone who’s taken food tours all over the world! Judy & Jill had such a great time with you too — we heard you were just as much fun to host as the tour was for you! We also loved getting to feature you in a little “fueling a marathon runner” moment after you crushed the Boston Marathon the day before—seriously impressive - and thank you for being such a great sport about it! And yes…the food really is the star of the show - you can't beat the best versions of the iconic Boston classics! We’re so grateful you joined us and hope we get to host you again on another visit to Boston.
This is a wonderful overview of Boston’s famous foods. Katie was a great guide. She is knowledgeable and fun. This is our very favorite food tour ever! Each spot had a nice space set up for us and a gave us a really nice-sized portion. The final stop was the nicest! This is a must do for foodies and some great history thrown in too. More food than you can eat. Highly recommend!

We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed exploring Boston’s famous foods with us, and that Katie made the experience both fun and informative. We love showcasing the city’s culinary gems and sharing a bit of Boston’s history along the way. It means so much to hear that this was your favorite food tour ever—what an honor! We’re so glad you enjoyed the generous tastings and memorable stops (especially that final one!). We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to see you on another Bites of Boston Food Tour soon!
Great tour with fun history, a lot of food and a nice amount of walking around the city. Katie (#102, apparently 2 Katies work for this company) was friendly, knowledgeable and a great guide. She made everyone feel comfortable and provided a lot of fun history facts about the city as well as its food but was not overpowering. The food was great and there was a lot of it. You definitely do not need a meal after this tour and it is coordinated to almost start with an appetizer, the beans and brown bread and end with dessert. The boston cream pie. All of the food was very good and each stop came with history about the food at that location. Katie also mentioned the history of some other restaurants that we didn’t stop at. There is an option to add two beers to your tour ticket and they space it out well. The beers are at stop one and three. There are 4 food stops on this tour. I have done food tours in many cities and this one ranks as one of the best. I will definitely be trying more of their tours.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review, Kathryn! We’re so happy you joined us for a taste of the Freedom Trail and that you had such a great time with Katie. She’ll love hearing your kind words! At Bites of Boston Food Tours, we’re all about sharing the city’s delicious flavors and fascinating stories, so it’s great to know the mix of food, history, and walking felt just right. We’re especially honored to be one of your favorite food tours—that truly means a lot. And yes, ending with Boston cream pie at its original birthplace is a pretty special finish! We hope to see you again soon on another Bites of Boston foof tour!
