I had a wonderful tour of Nîmes with Juan. He keeps his groups small which made the experience more like meeting a friend to explore a new city and discover the beauty and history together. Juan was warm, friendly and funny. A great way to see the city in a non-touristy way.

Tour operator is unreliable: failed to show up and didn’t eveb bother to message us about the cancelation
Juan Garcia is a cultivated and friendly official gude. It allowed us to discover and love this beautiful city of Nimes. He brings monuments to life, smears his words with anecdotes, stops here or there to make us discover an ornament or a particularity that we have not seen naked. A real culture and a good human relationship. I recommend it without hesitation!
We enjoyed our 2 plus hour tour with Juan. Though not a native of France Juan served in the French foreign legion for many years and his knowledge of Nimes and its history was very interesting. His English is very good. I would recommend this tour.

The tour guide never showed up. When I called customer service from Viator they were not helpful. Someone from Viator finally told me I would be refunded the money I paid, but I have yet to receive the email confirmation from Viator. I will never use Viator again to book my excursions.

Dealing with Viator for this tour was an absolute nightmare from start to almost finish. I started asking very simple basic informational questions about the tour at least 3 days before. The only answers I received consistently from Viator were we left a message for the tour operator. And I consistently responded that was unsatisfactory. When a customer asks is the tour 1 hr or 4 hrs and how much walking is involved and the answer is we have reached out to the tour operator and will respond to yr questions when we get answers, that is unacceptable. I finally was able to reach the guide by telephone at the time the tour was scheduled to begin and he said he knew nothing about the tour and had just returned to the country a few days before. So the tour begin 1/2 an hour late. Unacceptable! I am a tour guide in the US so I know well how this kind of business should operate. Clearly Viator does not. As it turned out, Juan our tour guide was lovely and we enjoyed touring with him. But because of the anxiety of not knowing if the guide was going to show up until the very last minute and my consistent emails to Viator for days before the tour and the fact that our tour started 30 min late, I feel I am due somewhat of a credit. We paid over $700 for the tour!
