Escucharás hechos y leyendas relacionados. La Plaza Registan es una tarjeta de visita de Samarcanda. Te contaré sobre las magníficas mezquitas y madrasas que se encuentran en ella. Mezquita Catedral Bibi-Khanum: admirarás su cúpula azul celeste y su arco del tamaño de la Vía Láctea. La Mezquita Hazrat Khizr fue reconstruida en el siglo XIX, reemplazando a la destruida en el siglo XIII. La mezquita original en este sitio data del siglo VIII. El complejo conmemorativo Shakhi-Zinda es uno de los misteriosos monumentos arquitectónicos de Samarcanda. Se cree que aquí se encuentra la tumba de Kusam ibn Abbas, un asociado del propio Profeta Muhammad. ¡Descubramos juntos nuestras hermosas ciudades! Aquí están enterrados Amir Timur y sus queridos nietos Muhammad Sultan, Ulugbek y otros miembros de la familia. En los siglos XV-XVII fue el centro educativo y espiritual de la ciudad. Verás en detalle las madrasas que se encuentran en él: Ulugbek, Sherdor y Tallyakari. Y te compartiré las características de la brillante arquitectura de la época timúrida. Imaginarás los tiempos en que estos edificios servían como escuelas religiosas y centros científicos, “leerás” las tramas de las fachadas y simplemente disfrutarás de la belleza del complejo. ¡Lo veremos desde fuera!
Aquí hablaremos de nuevo sobre Amir Tamer, que soñaba con construir la mejor mezquita del mundo. En el interior aprenderás más sobre ello y descubrirás leyendas antiguas. ¡Lo veremos desde fuera!
La mezquita Hazrat Khizr fue reconstruida en el siglo XIX, en sustitución de la destruida en el siglo XIII. La mezquita original que se encuentra en este lugar data del siglo VIII y se construyó sobre el emplazamiento de un templo zoroastriano. ¡La veremos desde dentro!
El complejo conmemorativo de Shakhi-Zinda es uno de los monumentos arquitectónicos más misteriosos de Samarcanda. Se cree que aquí se encuentra la tumba de Kusam ibn Abbas, un colaborador del propio profeta Mahoma. ¡Lo veremos desde fuera!

The wolking tour has been good. My guide, Samanar, has explaned the history and the architecture of Samarkand. He has answered to all of my questions and he has helped me to find some stuff in the shops. He has a good knwolege of history and geography and his explanations are easy to understand. I reccommend to book the walking tour with him. Remember: it is a walking tour and you will enter just in a cuple of sites; if you want to visit inside the others places, like Registan, you have to come back leater or go before the tour.

We have very high standards and SAM exceeded them. He came prepared with a notebook of images (I’m a visual learner!) and started with a history (to give a basis of knowledge) and then took us on the tour. He answered every question that we had (and I had a lot!). Moreover he was excited that we were excited and that we wanted to learn more about his city and its history. He was remarkably flexible and went at our pace, even a lunch stop where he helped us order the perfect local food. We’ve been traveling for 3 weeks and this was the best tour we’ve been on so far. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF A GREAT TOUR AND A GREAT TOUR GUIDE. this is what I expect from tour guides and rarely get that. Sam exceeded our expectations. In short, he was very good, he was kind, and he was informative.

This was an insightful Walk through Samarkand. Sam was a great teacher with thourough historic background . He hold the background on the sides very ‚vivid‘ … even thoughit was quite hot, the walking style is not exhausting … to the contra you also pick up some of today‘s Samsrkand Charme.
