This was a no call, no show tour operator who did not answer a call when attempts were made to contact them to find out what was going on. In addition, when Viator was contacted for assistance, we were requested to call the operator ourselves. The whole situation was frustrating and now we’re told the request for a refund is under review. A refund should have been immediate especially since the tour operator was a no show and we were clearly left in a lurch with no tour of Rio the day we were able to take one. Viator also did not offer any assistance in trying to find an available alternate tour.
Thanks for a great day, you made it possible for me to see the sights of Rio. I need a scooter to mobilise, you even got my scooter to the top of Chist The Redemer by carring my folded scooter, you put my scooter in and out the car to see all the different sights. You helped me have a great day.
I had an amazing time, and I’m happy that I chose this tour as my introduction to Rio de Janeiro. Carlos is very friendly and helpful, will answer all of your questions and give spot on recommendations of places to visit according to your needs. All of the stops were well thought of, didn’t need to wait in queues, everything went smoothly. If you have a day in Rio and you want to visit city’s most beautiful pearls + have a look at life in favela (which was my favorite bit) with no rush - this is a tour for you, I highly recommend!
I was very pleased that this was a small group tour. Carlos picked me and another couple up at the cruise terminal and gave us a remarkable tour of Rio. He hit most of the highlights including the tourist spots that provide the amazing views of Rio. We all saw the steps, national library, and a fascinating walk through a Favella. And of course, we went to the Christ the Redeemer statue. Carlos has structured this tour to be a mesh of his personal experience living in Rio and all of the sights one expects to see in Rio. Thus, the tour is an intimate view of life, in this case with the back drop of Carnaval happening concurrently. I highly recommend this tour if you have one day in Rio, or if it is a first day. It will provide an overview of the city and of life in Brazil.
It was during Carnival so I got a private tour as no one else scheduled for the same day. Carlos picked me up as scheduled on the day of my tour. As you can see from my pictures, I got to see a lot of Rio in a day. Carlos was kind enough to help me practice my Portuguese. He was extremely polite and ensures I was safe at all times. I definitely recommend Carlos for your Rio tours.
I am very grateful and happy to have taken this tour with Carlos, I was surprised to meet so many places in just one day and with so much information of the City, in every way, not only in the geography of this city but also culturally and politically speaking. I recommend taking the tour with Carlos, a guide with extensive knowledge of the situation in your country.
Great tour of the city with Carlos, who welcomed me to Rio with a lot of kindness and who allowed me a total immersion in carioca life. Ideal if you want to discover an authentic Rio de Janeiro (culture, politics, history), because Carlos has a very good knowledge of the city and will be able to give you the keys to understanding this amazing city. I recommend.
Excellent tour by Carlos. Carlos is very knowledgeable, easy-going and accomodating to every question and need. We absolutely recommend this guide!Must-go!
The best time ever in Rio de Janeiro! Stunning views, excellent food; but what my friends and I enjoyed the most was time with our guide Carlos, whose attention and deep knowledge of the city made our travel so special and unforgettable! Highly recommended!
Carlos the typical friendly and funny Brazilian! I did several excursions with him while I was in Brazil and we were friends. He is very outgoing and funny, loves to talk, has a lot of knowledge about the city and is a very intelligent person. He has a very nice personality, and is very predisposed; he loves to show and teach about the places he knows.
