My adult daughter and I had an amazing 13 day adventure to the Gobi and Central Mongolia. After traveling off-road through the Gobi almost one hundred percent of the time without any signage, I am convinced it would be very difficult to do this trip without a local guide and driver. The scenery was stunning, every sunrise and sunset was legendary. The ger camps were a lot of fun, each had its own flavor and personality. We enjoyed trying local foods and soon developed a taste for lamb. Hiking every day assured a healthy appetite for dinner. Traveling from the sparsely populated Gobi with its vast landscapes and few visitors to the more visited Central Mongolia was the perfect progression. Visiting the Orkhon Valley and later the Chenggis Khan and National museums in Ulanbataar fostered a greater appreciation for the magnificence of the Mongol Empire. Our guide was great and our driver knew the roads like the back of his hand. Thirteen days was a good trip length although I’m sure there is even more we could have seen. Zoloo with Travel Buddies crafted a Most memorable trip for my daughter and I. Highly recommend.

Where to begin... the entire experience was amazing. The program was planned so we'll and yet we had flexibility to make spontaneous changes when we were affected by weather or traffic. The itinerary was full of interesting and wonderful places to visit and experience. Our guide Bilguun handled everything and we could not have asked for a better person to guide us through our journey. Also a special mention to our driver Batbaatar who was fantastic, knew the roads very well and drove safely. Cannot praise them both enough.

From 0 to 100, off into the wonderful world of Mongolia. With a very great and approachable guide (Odnoo) and an extremely professional driver (Amgaa), we had an incredible experience. We had a tight schedule, which could be customized according to our wishes in advance. It was also no problem that we were mostly eating vegetarian. I felt very comfortable, and there were many opportunities on-site at the individual stops to interact and to make stops for photos at any time. The excursion to Naadam was also phenomenal! We were so overwhelmed by all the impressions that we didn't know which way was up and felt very well entertained. Tips: take a travel mug with you, then you can always have tea for the trip at breakfast. Also, be prepared for a bumpy ride over hill and dale. Pillows are wonderful shock absorbers here. In addition, it can get a bit cold overnight.

Mongolia is truly amazing, and this journey touched my heart in a very special way. I will never forget our tour guide, Jay. He looked after every member of our group with genuine care, kindness, and patience. His personal attention, courtesy, and warm personality made the whole trip much more enjoyable and meaningful. A wonderful experience. Uyanga was knowledgeable, supportive, patient and accommodating. The nomadic families and Ger’s as well as the amazing food was more than I expected. It was a great trip, making new friends and memories every day.
