Samuel was a perfect guide for our wine tasting tour in the mountains of Nice. Well informed about the history of the region and the secrets about making good wine. All with a good sense of humor.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m really happy you enjoyed the ride and the stories — but I have to admit, the real credit for the wine goes to Nice’s oldest winemaker! I just make sure none of it goes to waste. We have to say here for future travelers that the option with the vineyards of Nice is only bookable for private groups. Hope to share another scenic (and tasty) adventure with you next time! Warm regards, Samuel – Nice Creative Tours
What a wonderful way to explore Nice! Our guide Samuel skillfully guided us through the city, beachfront, marketplace and up mountain through tiny villages and beautiful scenic parks. We stopped for a lovely tour, wine tasting and picnic at Chateau de Cremat, then headed to the top of Aspremont, where it felt like we were on top of the world looking down over Nice all the way to the water. It was the perfect adventure for those who enjoy a little physical activity and being out in nature. Samuel entertained us the whole way with historical facts and anecdotes. I liked how he checked in on us every pedal of the way, making sure we were safe and comfortable, and gave us the flexibility to choose from among many paths and areas in which we were most interested to see. Added bonus: the bikes were top notch, with super comfortable seats and more then sufficient battery power to tackle the hills. We highly recommend and look forward to a return trip with Samuel.
The lunch break at the Roman ruins was a new resting point. I really enjoyed riding through the streets
Our guide was awesome. I wish I could spell his name. We learned a lot about the history of Nice. He took great care of us, wife needed first aid and he was able to arrange care for her
This was an awesome tour! Our group’s guide, Samuel was very knowledgeable of the area and so friendly. Originally I was worried about 5 hours on a bike with hills as I’m a bigger guy (260lbs). The e-bikes made even the big hills easy to navigate. There were plenty of stops for water. The food! The food was amazing! Samuel made sure we were well fed! The time went by so fast it didn’t feel like 5 hours at all. Overall, I’d highly recommend this tour! It’s great with even very little biking experience! There are a few places on the route where your speed can get to 35+ km/h going down hill. The bikes were easy to control and had good brakes. But something to be aware of if you have a fear of high speed on bikes. Again, a wonderful tour for a bigger guy with little biking experience, highly recommend.
We did the e-bike tour of Nice for 10 people. I had been chatting through different options with Samuel in the weeks before the tour and he made sure to tell me the pros and cons of each for our group. We went for the 30k cycle and it was really great. We visited two vineyards and loved both! Samuel was very knowledgeable about the history of Nice and he made sure that everyone in our group was taken care of and that we went at a pace suitable for everyone. He also provided us with a delicious picnic lunch to enjoy at the second vineyard! We have been coming to Nice for over ten years and this is one of the best tours we have done. I would recommend it to anyone and would love to try some of their other trips in the future. Thanks Samuel and team!
Sebastian was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Nice is beautiful, and biking around the hills gave us so many great vistas. The tour advertised a trip to a winery that didn’t happen - but we stopped instead at the second oldest wine shop in France and shared a bottle at the end of the tour. We had a great time!
Great trip around the hills of Nice! Kind and knowledgeable guide -we learnt a lot. The trip were also adopted to our needs. Fun to do something else in the sun.
We had booked this tour weeks in advance through get your guide and were very much looking forward to it... we showed up on time at first, but no one came.. the get your guide app had informed us about the upcoming activity shortly before. Due to telephone contact, an Italian came forward and said that there were no tours on Sundays and the bike shop was closed. But we should wait... then a “manager” came forward and declared that the minimum number of participants had not been reached. We should wait... 5 minutes later my patience broke and I called back.. The “manager” now concluded by stating that the tour was cancelled and we would get the money back. I am curious, but would have liked something more than that as compensation. I couldn't do it.
We are sorry that you were not able to take your guided tour. We try to keep our cancellations to a minimum (we are at a rate of less than 3% at the moment, out of about 3000 guests this year) and we are working to reduce it further. Out of this 3%, it happens very rarely that a synchronization error occurs on our calendar and a reservation is not visible. Unfortunately, this inconvenience has happened to you. Once the error in our booking system was noticed, all we had to do was apologise and fully refund you, which was done immediately. If we could have offered you another tour during the remainder of your stay in Nice we would have done so gladly. We tried to explain on the phone but you responded aggressively and then hung up on us. Your comment is unfortunate but it gives us even more reason to improve our services again and again. Do not hesitate to come back to us if you are in Nice, we would be happy to offer you an excursion to make up for it. No hard feelings. We hope to prove to you in the future our passion for our city and our professionalism.
Carmella was my guide and I highly recommend her. My tour was changed to Villefranche sur mer and I loved it. Just beautiful in scenery and diversity of biking.
