(We did the 5-day/4-night safari, visiting Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater and it was the perfect choice for us.) From beginning to end, everything exceeded our expectations. A very special thank you goes to Juma, who is, without a doubt, the best guide in the world. He has the biggest heart and went above and beyond every single day to make sure we were happy. No request was ever too much for him—he did everything possible to fulfill our every wish, and even more. Thanks to his incredible knowledge, sharp eyes, patience, and determination, we were lucky enough to see every animal we had dreamed of seeing. He always made us feel safe, welcomed, and cared for, and his passion for wildlife and his country made every moment even more special. We will never forget the incredible memories he helped create for us. A huge thank you also to Doullah, who is an outstanding chef. Every single meal was fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care. The food was incredibly varied, and he was always flexible, adapting the meals to our tastes and preferences with a smile. It honestly felt like dining in a restaurant after every game drive! His kindness and dedication made the experience even more enjoyable. Together, Juma and Doullah made the perfect team. They didn’t just provide a safari—they created an experience filled with unforgettable moments, laughter, comfort, and genuine care. We had an amazing time on safari in Tanzania. Our guide Jakob put in a lot of effort and shared his extensive knowledge of the wildlife with great patience. Our cook Johanny treated us to truly excellent food – varied and delicious. We’d especially like to highlight the Sightseeing Safari Lodge in the Serengeti. It was the most beautiful place, the staff were exceptionally friendly, and the food was outstanding.

Overall it was a fantastic trip. We had two great guides Muhammad and Ombeni who led us for the whole duration of our trip in Tanzania. They were extremely responsible and knowledgeable as they helped us spot and identify many of the wild African animals along the trip, including all of the famous African Big Five which we managed to see. Additionally, they are both very handsome and are the most sanitary Africans we have ever seen.

During the safari, we were the first to find some of the rarest animals on several occasions and, many times, we enjoyed those sightings completely alone, without other vehicles around. The encounters with the leopard were especially unforgettable. In just two days, we managed to see it five times, something truly exceptional. Furthermore, on two of those occasions, we enjoyed the sighting completely alone, without any other vehicle around. They were magical moments that we will never forget. In addition, Nuru has a great eye for photography. He always positioned the vehicle perfectly so that we could see the animals' faces and get the best light for our photos. Thanks to him, we returned home with spectacular images and unforgettable memories. What we admired most was the enormous respect he shows for nature and the animals. He would turn off the engine at the right moment, ask for silence when necessary, and always put the well-being of the wildlife before anything else. It is clear that it is not just his job, but his true passion. We were also very impressed by the quality of the accommodations and the food throughout the trip. All the lodges and camps were beautiful, very comfortable, and perfectly located. The food was absolutely delicious: fresh, varied, and prepared with an exceptional level of quality. However, the most exciting part was the nights inside Serengeti National Park. Sleeping in a tented lodge while wild animals move freely around the camp during the night is an experience impossible to forget. At the same time, we always felt completely safe, since at night guests are accompanied by camp staff every time they move between their tents and the common areas. It is the perfect combination of adventure and safety. After five days of safari, we are convinced that the guide is what makes the difference between a good safari and an unforgettable experience. Going on a safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safari, and especially with Nuru as a guide, is much more than just seeing animals. It is learning about their behavior, better understanding African nature, and living an authentic and unforgettable experience.

An extraordinary safari with Samuel, our guide, and Dulla, the cook, who accompanied us throughout the five days. Meru Slopes Tours is a serious, professional agency that cares about its clients' experience. We were there the last week of May. We were able to see almost all the Big Five animals (except for the rhinoceros, which remained discreet), as well as a large number of savanna animals and birds. We observed the animals very closely and in incredible situations: with their families, during migration, at rest, while hunting, etc. The offer is very comprehensive: they pick you up at the airport the day before the safari, and from that moment on, everything is taken care of until your departure on the day after the fifth day (that is, the sixth day), when they drop you off at the airport or elsewhere in Arusha. Be aware, there are three days of camping in the heart of the savanna. This is true camping, in adventure mode and without electricity, but with sanitary facilities, of course. These are almost the best moments of the experience: falling asleep to the sounds of lions roaring and other animals is simply incredible. If you have space in your luggage, take a sleeping bag. Although the agency provides them, it is shared equipment. If you book through TripAdvisor, contact the agency directly via WhatsApp (the number is provided once the booking is made) to obtain all the useful details. The itinerary is very good. The guide Muddy has good driving skills. When he encounters wild animals, he will patiently explain. It is a very good activity.

Meru Slopes was wonderful. Took care of us -- knowledgeable guides, very fun group and the food was better than expected. Tents were comfortable. Transport was very comfortable. Plus, they threw in a very nice hotel in Arusha where we stored our luggage. Highly recommended.

Meru slopes (Kelvin was our tour operator) was so easy to work with and knowledgeable. We had extras we wanted to do and they organized it all for us and just rolled it all into the safari. Our tour guide, Santaely, was absolutely incredible. Extremely knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, and was amazing at finding animals and getting us into great potion to see them and get great photographs. Food was good, all our accommodations were wonderful. We got to see the big 5!! (And multiples of each). Highly recommend and will pros ally recommend to anyone I know looking to safari.
