Rebeca provided us an amazing experience in her beautiful kitchen and home. The dishes she taught us were simple and delicious! One of our friends is allergic to shrimp and she modified the recipe to accommodate our friend’s need and it was equally as delicious as the shrimp version. We learned how to make flavored rice, farofa, vegetarian and seafood moqueca, classic Brazilian salad, brigadeiros, lime and passionfruit capirinhas, cassava fries, and pirão. She also shared so many fun stories with us while we were cooking and is an amazing baker. We were so lucky she shared with us a slice of cake she made which was absolutely delicious. This was our last day in Salvador and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our trip. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a relaxing and fun way to experience Salvador!
We had such a wonderful time doing a cooking class with Rebeca! From start to finish, the experience was warm, welcoming, and genuinely special. Hands down one of the highlights of my trip. It was a truly hands-on class, which made it so much fun, we were actively involved in preparing everything and learning along the way. Rebeca was incredibly welcoming and generously opened her home to us, which made the experience feel very personal and comfortable, the class was small and intimate. She shared the recipes with us afterward, and one of our favorite things was how simple and approachable the dishes were to make while still being absolutely delicious. She was also very flexible when I mentioned I had a shrimp allergy and did not mention this at the beginning, I was very grateful for how quickly she pivoted to ensure I was also able to eat as well. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and Rebeca was a wonderful host. You can really tell how much care and passion she puts into both the food and the experience. Highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting! It’s a great way to experience amazing food, learn something new, and leave with recipes and memories you can take home with you. We would absolutely do this again!
Rebeca is so lovely and personable and was a great teacher. We shared stories and laughed together and ate great food! I would highly recommend this experience to everyone!
It was an insanely good experience. Rebeca welcomed us so warmly into her actual house and “real Brazilian” kitchen to show us and teach us how to cook moqueca, brigadeiro and many other local dishes all while accompanied by some good caipirinhas. Everyone present was lovely and we ended all eating together what we cooked - couldn’t recommend more!
Thank you for this fantastic review! What makes us especially happy is that you experienced exactly what a home-based cooking class is meant to offer: being welcomed into Rebeca’s actual home, cooking in a real Brazilian kitchen, and then sitting down together to enjoy what you prepared. Moqueca, brigadeiro, caipirinhas, and good company sound like a pretty perfect combination! We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Rebeca. Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
It was a great experience- Rebecca was amazing, very sweet and a great cook! Highly recommend this class!

Me and my mother had a little difficulty with our driver getting to the location but Rebeca was so helpful and communicated with the driver. She was so patient and personable answering all of the questions about moqueca. It was delicious! Also I really was surprised how easy it was to make caiparinhas! Will definitely be doing that from now on. I loved the tiny fried shrimp as a snack! Definitely recommend! Also Rebeca has the cutest dog Filha!
Thank you for such a detailed review! We’re especially glad Rebeca was able to help when you had trouble with the driver and made sure you and your mother arrived comfortably. It sounds like the moqueca, little fried shrimp, and your first homemade caipirinhas made the evening memorable—and we love hearing that caipirinhas may now become part of your repertoire! And yes, we’ll make sure Filha gets some extra attention too. 🐶 Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
