The cruise was wonderful: a very good choice to combine sightseeing with relaxation. Our guide, Ahmed Shawky Ali, took care of our well-being, so that we could stay worry-free, and every day he explained the program for the next day. The communication was very good, and the explanations were appropriate: from the way it was explained to us (including reading the hieroglyphs), to the interesting stories that were told to us. Being a cruiseship, we did part of the journey while sleeping. At the same time, the boat staff was very polite and helpful. It was a wonderful experience, which combined discovering the pearls of Egypt with relaxation.

We booked our once in a lifetime Cruise up the Nile from Luxor over a month in advance. It never happened, no communication from Mody, no pick up as promised, no apology for ruining our trip or alternative offered! We were just told, ‘We had trouble with our emails’ and ‘apply for refund from Viator’. Mody owns nothing, it’s a last minute booking agency, run from a flat in Luxor. Buyer Beware!

We booked a 3-day Nile cruise with Moody Tours months in advance, including flights from Cairo to Aswan and back from Luxor to Cairo. We planned our entire trip around this cruise — flights, hotels, everything. Then, just two days before departure, they messaged us on WhatsApp asking if we could postpone the cruise by two days because there was “a problem with the boat.” Postponing was not an option for us, as we already had our international return flight from Cairo booked and non-changeable. As a result, we were forced to cancel at the last minute and scramble to find an alternative so we wouldn’t be left without accommodation or plans. While they did offer a refund, they didn’t apologize properly, show any real concern, or offer assistance in finding a solution. This is completely unacceptable. We trusted them with a central part of our vacation, and their last-minute cancellation disrupted our entire trip. I would strongly advise others to reconsider booking with them.

I need to say Ahmed shawky Ali has been a really good guide during all our trip. Speaks excellent english, very well aknowledged about all historical facts and very well organized. He was also very gentle with my old mother and always helpful for everyone. If I would come again to southern Egypt Inwoukd like to have him again 100%

Our trip so far is running perfect.. absolutely well organized and managed by our Agency Contact Ereen.. All needed info are provided on time and she always checks in with us to see if everything went fine and if we're good.. Amazing service and she even organized a birthday cake for my girlfriend when we checked in to our cruise from Aswan to Luxor.. Highly appreciated and thanks a lot 🙏🏼
