A wonderful experience! We were paired up with both a guide and a driver, which let our guide focus on educating us about the amazing past and present of this part of Greece and the Olympia ruins. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine tasting at the family owned vineyard, and no way would we have ever found it on our own. Finally, we got some breathtaking pictures at the beach. Everyone had a good time, ages 9-80
Excellent tour and phenomenal guide (Stathis) for a cruise excursion. My husband and I easily found our guide after exiting the port area. Stathis was personable and professional, sharing information about his country and family. We had a private tour in a comfortable car, visiting Olympia, then a small local winery with 3 wine samples and homemade snacks. Our final stop was a gorgeous beach area with a bar. Such a great day! Stathis stayed with us explaining the local customs and made food/drink recommendations. I mentioned wanting to buy some local olive oil, he purchased some for us as a gift while we visited Olympia! We were not sure what to expect from the cruise port, but it ended up being one of our favorite days. Highly recommend this tour and Stathis if you are coming to this area!
Our guide Stathis was absolutely incredible. His knowledge and expertise made this excursion one of our favorites on our 2 week vacation. If only we could have had him at every stop!
We are more than happy to have Niki as our tour guide. She was very accommodating and looked after our needs. The trip to Olympia was amazing and she briefed us with the necessary details of what to expect or see inside the site. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
We were able to customize our trip and the winery our guide took us to was outstanding. It was absolutely gorgeous!
What a fantastic day we had with Andreas as our guide! Absolutely recommend 10/10! We loved the whole day, and the trip to the small family winery was incredibly special. Loved our day!
This was a great experience. From the minute, they picked us up everything was very easily understood and on time. Our wonderful guide Constantina “Tina” prepared us for the ruins beautifully. We got a history lesson in the shuttle and it made our experience that much more interesting. Mike was our driver and the shuttle for transportation was beautiful. The air conditioner was spot on, and the ride was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this toward winning in the area.
Excellent stop. We decided against Olympic site and our driver, Pano, took us to the town of Olympia which was super quaint and fun. Then we did a local vineyard which was quiet and had great views along with great wine/ snacks. The highlight was at the end when we got to a high end beautiful beach bar. It was the perfect ending to our tour. Highly recommend even though this isn't one of the popular spots as our experience was great.
We decided to do a private tour to Olympia. Instructions were clearly given as to where to meet and our driver/guide was there with a sign when we got to the meeting point. We drove to the archeological site and had plenty of time to walk around and see all that was offered. Then onto the winery. This was a small family owned/operated winery and it was wonderful. We were greeted by the owner and showed around the winery, then had a wine tasting which included homemade snacks which were just outstanding. The wine itself was some of the best I think we had ever tasted so of course, we brought several bottles back with us. The winery was so quaint and peaceful. We could have stayed there for hours but of course we had to leave and finish our tour. Next stop was the beach area and again a beautiful area. We were able to relax and just enjoy the breeze and waves washing ashore. All in all this tour was just excellent and I am so happy I decided to book it.
Our tour guide, Joanna, was wonderful! She told us much about the area, culture and history of Ancient Olympia on the drive there and then walked us to the entrance. The museum was very interesting & well worth the time spent there. The archeological site/ruins was very large and a bit overwhelming, but neat to see. The winery Joanna brought us to was a delight! It was a family farm in the beautiful countryside, where we tasted their wine and olives, with homemade bread, marmelade & olive oil. Joanna had everything arranged, was very personable & gave us an amazing tour!
