A fantastic 4 day tour of the ancient sites of mainland Greece including Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi and Meteora. Ticked all the boxes. Ours was a small group (9-10) which worked extremely well. Excellent guide, good hotels with wide range of food options. Difficult to beat and highly recommended. 😀 Be aware that tours around the Acropolis in Athens are not part of this tour.
My husband and I are glad we booked this tour, but some aspects were a bit disappointing. The sites we visited were amazing! The tour guide, Fotini, was good; however, she gave information in both English and French, which we did not know would be the case. Fotini was very adept at switching between the languages--sometimes mid-sentence--but the result was that the information took twice as long to deliver as it would have otherwise, and it was easy to get confused. The hotels were fine, and the food was okay. You spend quite a lot of time on the bus (there's a lot of ground to cover!), and we didn't appreciate all of the stops made for shopping.
The tour was wonderful. We picked the 6 hour tour and it was the perfect time to see all the different villages of Santorini. Our tour guide, Tasos, was fantastic! He really took care of helping us decide how to best spend our time in the places we wanted to visit. He really made our tour unforgettable!! I would truly recommend this tour if you want to see more of Santorini. The Best!!!
It lacked a daily itinerary so we didn’t know where we were going and no maps were available.. The guide needs to improve his English because we could only understand about 50% due to his heavy accent. Water should be offered in the extreme heat. The guide did not keep the group together and lost part of the group.

He has full professional proficiency in English. We understand that individual accents can sometimes require a little adjustment, but we take any concerns regarding communication seriously. Regarding the extreme heat, we appreciate your suggestion about providing water. While bottled water is not currently included in the advertised tour inclusions. Finally, this is a shared group tour, and at the various sites and stops, guests are given free time to explore independently, take photographs, or enjoy the surroundings at their own pace. Therefore, it is not expected that the entire group will remain together at all times. The guide provides clear meeting points and times so that everyone can rejoin the group for the continuation of the tour. Thomas our guide did a great job. He’s very friendly and knowledgeable. The only problem I had was hearing him through the whisper when we were in a crowd and had to stand away from him
I was really looking forward to this tour and I’m really disappointed this has been such a poor experience. The company that runs this tour has their own ‘four star’ hotel chain that they put you in. For our trip we weren’t allowed to use the pool as part of the first class experience. Given other members of our group were booked in other hotels close to the villiage and with pool access, I’m unsure as to why the same thing were not offered to those who chose the first class experience. Given its the same company, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect they would know the property was being rented out for a wedding. Our dinner was also impacted by the significant amount of guests (later at night & the nice seating was unavailable). The rooms had no soundproofing and the beds were uncomfortable. They also booked me in a single bed. I reached out to customer service and have been contacted by Stavros Stathakos who did not offer any apology or compensation. I don’t think the service is as advertised and will continue to seek compensation.

The trip was fantastic - it took in everything i wanted to see in 4 days, easy transfers, no bag hassels. One hotel the aircon did not work and it was very hot in August.
My partner and I had a memorable experience. Our tour guide, Jordan, was knowledgeable and very friendly. Our driver was also very professional.
Stathi was so informative and interesting. He always made sure we knew everything there was to know about Greek history and art. The bus journeys were long, but there was WiFi and Stathi narrated a lot of what was around. There were stops for bathroom and snacks. All in all an amazing experience!!
My husband and I took the four-day Classical Greece Tour with Chat Tours 23 years ago, and the wonderful memories stayed with us all these years. This summer, when our daughter wanted to visit Greece, we didn't hesitate to book the same tour again with Chat Tours, and it did not disappoint. Our guide, Valeria, was absolutely amazing, and our driver, Thenasis, was equally outstanding. The four-day itinerary was perfectly planned, and our stays at the Amalia Hotels were very nice. Everything was well organized from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the highlights of classical Greece.
