La caminata de 25 Fontes Levada (PR6) es una de las rutas más famosas y hermosas de Madeira. Comenzando en Rabaçal, el sendero te lleva a través del exuberante Bosque Laurissilva y junto a las tradicionales levadas de Madeira, canales de riego históricos que transportan agua por la isla. En el camino, descubrirás rica vegetación nativa y hermosos paisajes naturales antes de llegar al punto culminante de la caminata: la famosa laguna de 25 Fontes, donde numerosos manantiales y cascadas descienden por las paredes rocosas hacia una hermosa laguna. The scenery is jungle...
The path is jungle like with beautiful scenery. The falls weren’t running fast because it was in September but still a nice spot. Our guide, Elvio, was organized and knowledgeable. We loved the 1/2 mile tunnel too!!

Beautiful walk
Straightforward pick up on time. The guide, Moses, was helpful and informative and kept the group together. Stunning walk- the 25 Fontes was a bit of an anticlimax as the rest was so lovely. Would do again.

Tour operator - No show
Very disappointed as tour operator did not show up to pick us up, for our walking tour, and was not contactable by the phone number given on the booking voucher. After waiting over an hour at the pickup location, I contact Viator via the app who were very helpful and organised a refund as they were all so unable to get in contact with EXPLORE NATURE. Thanks to this company our last day in Maderia was spoiled. Would be extremely wary booking with this company. Still waiting for them to reach out to me to give a good reason why our trip was not fulfilled. We were at the specified pickup location 15 minutes before the required time. One very unhappy traveller.

Excellent walking tour
Amazing walking tour! The guide was very knowledgeable and considerate about making sure everyone was happy with the pace. Scenery was incredible, not just the waterfalls but the whole way there

Nice walk with some interesting points. Recommend waterproof boots and a torch for thr tunnel section.
Well organised from the hotel pick up to the drop off afterwards. Paulo our guide worked hard to make sure everybody in the group was comfortable with the pace and kept informed about what was happening. The poxt walk coffee/drinks stop was definitely a case of going the extra mile! Definitely Recommended!!

A great day out
We had a wonderful day walking in the laurisilva with Paulo who looked after us well and was informative about the history and nature of the area. Highly recommended.

Paulo lead us on a very enjoyable walk along the levedas and through the laurisilva. He looked after us well and was informative about the history of the area and its wildlife habitats. We had a really good day.
