Vea a una Maiko real actuar de cerca, una oportunidad extremadamente rara, ya que solo unos 40 permanecen en Kyoto hoy. El espectáculo incluye dos bailes cortos (unos 10 minutos en total), seguidos de una sesión de preguntas y respuestas, fotos y un juego tradicional Japonés. POR FAVOR, LEA ATENTAMENTE LO SIGUIENTE ANTES DE RESERVAR⬇️ -El artista será un MAIKO, no una GEISHA. Una Maiko es una aprendiz de geisha, lo que significa que está entrenando para convertirse en una geisha. Es una aprendiz de geisha, a la que llamamos Maiko. - Las actuaciones de Maiko son intencionadamente cortas para preservar el arte, por lo que NO actuará durante toda la hora. -Ofrecemos dos opciones diferentes de tour : Tea House : se celebra dentro de un auténtico Kyo-Machiya. Teatro Gion : se celebra en una sala de exposición dedicada. Consulte las fotos antes de reservar. -No podemos tener ninguna llegada tardía debido a los modales a otros huéspedes y a las geishas. Si llega tarde, lamentablemente no podemos proporcionar un reembolso.

Got there about 20 mins early so got a good seat. Green tea is provided and a matcha cookie. Toilets available. The guide talked about the history of the geiko and maiko and we watched 2 performances of dance moves. She was very graceful. Then there was a q&a plus she also played a game with audience members. Everyone got a go so not rushed.

I booked the activity in January and paid for it at the beginning of July. Well, a week before the date of the activity, August 9, the organization contacted me to ask if I would mind changing the contracted activity or the date of completion for operational reasons, without further explanation. I told them that I prefer not to change. The day before the activity they contacted me again to inform me that I had two options, either change the activity or cancel, without further explanation. I chose to cancel. I feel ignored and deceived. At least I can leave a review so that my experience and how this company operates are known.
Overall this was a great experience, especially for people who know very little about Maiko/ Geiko culture. I would also recommend to people who are mildly interested, or curious about Maiko/ Geiko culture but who are not ready to commit to a bigger more involved or more expensive experience. It's a great introduction experience and very approachable for tourists. It was a smidge expensive for what you get (two short dances, and a brief overview explination of Maiko/Gaiko culture, a game, and a Q&A sesh).
Aki was the highlight of this experience. Thank you for being a terrific moderator!
