Su aventura épica de un día comenzará en Inverness, la capital de las Tierras Altas de Escocia. Saliendo de la ciudad, te sumergiré en el folclore local, te sugeriré otros lugares para visitar durante tu estancia y te haré sugerencias sobre dónde puedes descubrir la mejor comida, bebida y entretenimiento que Inverness tiene para ofrecer.
Primero vamos al Lago Ness y nos encontramos con las vacas peludas. No solo los conocerás y los fotografiarás, sino que también mejoraré la experiencia trayendo zanahorias para que puedas alimentarlos. Esta es una experiencia única en la lista de deseos para muchas personas. Escuchará todas las historias del lago más famoso del mundo y verá cómo el paisaje cambia dramáticamente mientras nos dirigimos a la Isla de Skye.
En nuestro camino a Skye viajaremos a través de cañadas espectaculares, campos de batalla históricos y antiguas comunidades de artesanos donde tejeré historias fascinantes y narrativas históricas curadas personalmente en el tejido de su viaje que le ayudará a comprender el rico patrimonio cultural que satura cada rincón de esta tierra. También he preparado una banda sonora para esta gira que te permite formar una conexión etérea entre la música y el paisaje.
Nos detendremos a tomar un pequeño café en una chocolatería galardonada, incluso se puede ver el chocolate que se hace en ciertos días a través de una ventana de visualización.
A continuación, haremos una rápida parada fotográfica en el emblemático castillo de Eilean Donan, protagonizado por Sean Connery. Fue votado como uno de los castillos más fotografiados de Instagram en 2023. No accedemos al castillo en el tour debido a las limitaciones de tiempo necesarias para la caminata corta Old Man of Storr, sin embargo, esto es flexible, así que si el grupo está de acuerdo, podemos ajustar el horario para pasar más tiempo aquí.
Es solo un viaje de 15 minutos desde aquí hasta el puente Skye. Este es un momento particularmente emblemático para los fanáticos del programa de televisión 'Outlander' mientras cruzamos 'Over the Sea to Skye'. Hay una ruta alternativa a Skye a través del único ferry giratorio en funcionamiento del mundo (solo de abril a octubre). Este es un camino mucho menos transitado con espectaculares miradores en el camino y una colonia de focas. Esta es una ruta más larga y requiere más tiempo. Primero hacemos una parada en la antigua ciudad comercial de ganado de Broadford para visitar una joya escondida. Esta ubicación es la conclusión de una de las historias que les contaré en el camino a Skye. También tendrás la oportunidad de probar una de las bebidas más famosas de Skye.
Luego se dirige al Puente Viejo de Sligachan, la primera de las muchas ubicaciones de otro mundo de la Isla de Skye y el escenario de mi 'foto de puente' de marca registrada, tomada en mi dron. ¡Prepárate para hacer una pose! También tendrá la oportunidad de sumergirse en una famosa leyenda de hadas.
Luego hacemos el corto viaje a Portree, conocida como la 'Capital Pintoresca' de la isla. Aquí puedes tomar algunas fotos del pintoresco puerto mientras pasamos por sus casas de colores pastel.
La 'Joya de la Corona' de este tour es la caminata a El Viejo de Storr (podemos cambiar esto por una caminata Quiraing si lo prefiere). Alternativamente, si prefiere no hacer senderismo, el recorrido se puede modificar en este punto. Las formaciones rocosas aquí y en The Quiraing quedaron atrás después de que deslizamientos masivos de tierra arrastraran el resto de la ladera. Las recompensas en ambas caminatas son realmente magníficas.
Si hay tiempo después de la caminata Old Man of Storr, hay tiempo para explorar el paisaje aquí en Lealt Falls, anteriormente un lugar de trabajo para alrededor de 50 personas locales.
También hay tiempo para una rápida parada fotográfica en la cascada más famosa de Escocia, Kilt Rock. Se compone de coloridas capas de columnas de roca basalto, donde la cascada cae 90 metros sobre la playa de abajo. A veces en un día salvaje se puede oír el silbido de los acantilados!
Kilt Rock es el punto más lejano que podemos viajar en un tour de 1 día, así que es hora de tomar un descanso bien ganado mientras viajamos de regreso a Broadford para tomar un refresco. Luke was an outstanding guide. As a solo traveler, I felt immediately comfortable. I was looking for a more active experience and wanted to spend less time on the bus and more time on the trails - that's exactly what we did. He was knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed sharing the area. I'd love to come back and join one of his three-day trips or his future five-day camper tour! This was a great experience with Luke from start to finish! We met at the church in Inverness and made our way to the Isle of Skye, with several great stops along the way to climb up to the Old Man of Storr. Luke proved a ton of great information with a fun and interactive delivery. The coffee and chocolate stop was a solid as well as feeding the Highland Cows, but the highlight was obviously the hike. The weather was fit for Scotland…windy with horizontal rain…which added to the experience. We took the alternate path and it was a Luke said…a road less traveled as we didn’t see many passersby on that route. This tour was a last adventure on our Trip to Scotland and we’ll never forget it. We set the “unofficially record” for fastest ascent…it was so fast Luke forgot to time us! Lol.

Great tour with just your group! You will enjoy spending the day with Luke! He’s knowledgeable, funny, and wears a kilt. This tour is a home run!! So many sights and you get to climb the Old Man of Storr, if you want to. It’s challenging and rewarding! Check out his 3 day tour, so you can see all of Skye! Luke is a fantastic tour guide! Great way to see the Isle of Skye! We only did a one day tour but wished we would have done the 3 day beacuse there is so much to explore. But, we felt like we saw all of the highlights and climbed the Old Man of Stohr—challenging but rewarding!! Luke is super knowledgeable and will customize the sights you see based on your interests. Isle of Skye day trip from Inverness was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. We had a private tour for our family in a comfortable van with seats facing each other. Luke timed the trip so we are at the major attractions before buses come in so we were able to enjoy the gorgeous country with relative solitude. Hike to the Old Man of Storr was very windy but fantastic and was my favorite part of the day. Luke captured a drone shot of us on the Sligachan bridge which was a nice touch. Luke planned the tour like a production with music and commentary at appropriate times explaining the sights and history.
