Zipline and Hanging Bridges Combo Tour in Monteverde Cloud Forest

Description
Take a trip high into the treetops where you can zipline through the clouds on a course that is 2 miles long and includes a Tarzan swing. After this exhilarating experience, take your time to float through the clouds as you walk on the notorious hanging bridges, walking on eight different bridges with various lengths ranging between 150 feet up to 510 feet. Embrace this time to appreciate the beauty of nature and breathtaking views around you. Monteverde is privileged to receive a steady supply of clouds and the life-giving moisture that they contain. This moisture, often in the form of fog, catches on the branches of the tallest trees and drips down to the other organisms below. This helps to support a complex and far-reaching ecosystem, one that harbors over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, tens of thousands of insect species, and over 2,500 varieties of plants, 420 of which are orchids alone. Lunch is included only for tours from Guanacaste (pacific coast)

The ziplining and hanging bridge experience was great, but can't recommend booking through trip advisor! First and last time I'll do that. They told us to arrive at 9am for a 9:30 tour come to find out the tours are at 8:30 and 11. Luckily we got there just before 9 and was able to get in the 8:30 group. Also the description of the experience mentions a superman zipline, but that's an additional charge.
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the ziplining and hanging bridges! We apologize for the confusion regarding the tour times and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We will review the information displayed on TripAdvisor to ensure it is accurate and up to date. Regarding the Superman zipline, this is an optional add-on offered by the park, and we'll work to make that distinction clearer in the tour description. Thank you for joining us, and we hope to welcome you on another adventure in the future!
Book directly with Selvatura park. Viator doesn’t do anything other than come pick you up and tell you to check in with reception. Had I known this I would have booked directly with the park saving about $40-50. Everything is self paced at the park, aside from ziplining which is guided. Highly recommend the park, just DONT BOOK WITH VIATOR.
I can see why this is a must do excursion for Monte Verde. Well organized and great team of staff who accompany you through the zip lines. Lovely views of the cloud forest while zipping along. Tarzan swing was a huge hit for the brave people in our group. If Tarzan swing was too tame for you, you can pay for the Superman position on the last zipline. The Hanging Bridges were opportunity to see the cloud forest from a closer distance. Even saw a howler monkey on one of the bridges. We think he enjoyed being the center of attention. It’s an experience that we would all do again.
This experience was amazing. Breath taking scenery walking through the jungle literally feels like you are where heaven and earth meet. Kevin our guide was amazing full of knowledge; he was excellent
Excellent ziplining! There's a lot of walking, sometimes uphills, between some of the ziplines. I should have worked out before participating. There were people of all ages doing all the activities.
This was my first time zip lining, and I had an absolute blast. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
My tour got canceled the day before and my two options were either pay extra money for the tour to go on or pick another date so I wouldn’t recommend I contacted Viator for a full refund and it was easy
A very long day that was very worth it (also very worth it to have a local driver navigate us to the Cloud Forest)! Our guide Kevin picked us up at 5:30 am from Brasilito and we arrived at Selvatura Park by 9 am for ziplines and a guided walk across the hanging bridges. We were added to a very big group for ziplines (maybe 40 people), but once we got going, we flew across 15 cables high above the tree canopy with only a few stopping points. It was so surreal, and the Tarzan swing was a lot of fun, too! They take pictures for purchase of the first two runs. Be aware that there are some longer walks/steep hills when switching from one section of the course to the next - hiking shoes are smart. We met up with Kevin and the other folks on our Native's Way tour who visited another section of the park while we did ziplines and did a guided hike together. We were moving pretty quickly from one activity to the next and felt a little rushed, but we slowed down every time we saw a bird or animal (we even spotted a female resplendent quetzal!). Lunch was delicious – we had to order in advance and all picked the Costa Rican option, but the pizzas looked great too. We arrived back in Brasilito at 7 pm after a stop at El Jardin for bathrooms and souvenirs. A heads up that the roads can get very bumpy higher into the mountains and the closer you get to the park (a “Costa Rican massage”), so if you’re easily motion sick, consider taking or bringing along medicine.
If I could give separate ratings, I would give the hanging bridge tour two stars and the zip line four stars. The tour and explanations on the walk were mediocre at best, the guide was on his phone most of the time, but the zip line was amazing. If you're by the beaches expect to be in a car for at least 6 hours round trip.
The whole experience was great , from transportation to the actual excursion 10/10. Would definitely do it again. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.
