100% recommend small group tour with Pegasus

I can 100% recommend the destination and going with Pegasus on a small group trip. It is scenically beautiful, and not too demanding to walk round. It is popular so its good to go with a knowledgable guide who knows howto avoid the crowds. Our guide Marco was excellent from start to finish; great communication, comfortable ride in minibus, extremely helpful and kind - especially as I had a bit of a knee injury and was slow walking round/managing the stairs. He really went out of his way to make sure everyone had a good time. I recommend bringing some food if you can - the options are basic (burgers etc) in the park and when we were there the system was down and they couldn't serve any food. (I think this was very exceptional). Nevertheless everyone had a great time.

Professionally operated tour. Confusing booking options. Beautiful park. Long walk.

This company offers several options for Plitvice Lakes tours. Some tours include the Plitvice admission ticket in the price; some tours do not. The Plitvice admission ticket is priced less in April and May compared to the price during peak season, beginning in June. Some tours are with a tour bus (maximum, 49 passengers); some tours are with a small group, in a van (maximum, 8 passengers). Some tours require you to travel to a central pickup location, some tours meet you at your hotel and some tours require you to walk to a nearby hotel. The price of the tour can change significantly if you book directly with the company and if you find and use the promotional code among the postings on the company's Facebook page. I was picked up at a nearby hotel. I was in a van with 7 other passengers. Marko was both our driver and our guide. He was a pleasant person who taught us the history of both Croatia and the national park. Marko was also an informative guide within the park. I was the oldest passenger on the tour. I asked Marko to make sure that I did not fall behind the group. Marko took good care of me, offering to carry some of my belongings. On the other hand, as he led the group through the park, Marko provided information to those young and strong enough to be able to walk alongside him, information that was not shared with the rest of us. I would have felt safer if, on the highways to and from the park, Marko did not drive impatiently and seem to want to pass every slow moving vehicle on the highway. There is a lot of walking inside the park (8.5 km/5.3 miles). These long walks are mainly along wooden boards. The boards are well maintained by the park and seem safe, but all of a sudden you have one step up or one step down. If you do not watch where you are walking, you will trip and fall. And, if you must watch where you are walking, you cannot observe all of the scenery around you. Then, out of nowhere, you encounter 2 or 3 absolutely magnificent photo opportunities which are the park's famous attractions. At the conclusion of the walk, when you are the most tired, there is a large hill to be climbed in order to exit the park. It is a long day, 10 hours from start to finish. During peak season, when the highways are crowded, when the park is crowded, and when you have a long wait for your boat ride or "train" ride within the park, be prepared for a 12 hour day. Pack your own lunch and snacks.

The Tour was just...

The Tour was just awesome. We had really luck with the weather and also because it was national Holiday here, there were suprisingly less people in the Park Than normaly. Our Tourguide Katja was super nice and super fun. She told us a lot of very interesting things about the Park and about Croatia. She always made sure Nobody was left behind and everybody had enough time for Fotos and enjoying the scenery. We had a really Great time and it was nice to be Part of this Tour.

An unforgettable day at the Plitvice Lakes with an exceptional guide!

An absolutely fantastic excursion! The Plitvice Lakes are a true gem of nature. The incredible colors of the water, its crystalline purity, and the magnificent waterfalls are simply breathtaking. It is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. A big thank you to our guide Marko, who made this day even more memorable. He is one of the friendliest and funniest guides I have met. He was always patient, attentive, and very detailed in his explanations. He answered all questions with honesty and transparency, while sharing numerous historical and cultural insights. You can feel that he deeply loves his country and is proud to present it, which makes the experience even more special. I also greatly appreciated the practical advice before the excursion from Sara, especially regarding meals and what it was useful to bring for the day. Everything was perfectly organized, stress-free, and the schedule was adhered to from start to finish. Thank you also to Marco, our driver, for his pleasant driving. I highly recommend this excursion, especially if you have the chance to have Marko as a guide with Pegasus Travel. Thank you! 🌿🌊✨
