Your tour begins at Wine Garden Zadar, a cozy courtyard tucked beside the city market. Here, you’ll meet your guide and start your tour the Dalmatian way - with coffee and prosciutto.
At Trznica Zadar, you’ll dive into the city’s lively open-air market, surrounded by the colors and energy of daily life. Here, you’ll sample authentic Pag cheese and seasonal local treats, meet friendly vendors, and experience the flavors that define Dalmatia. It’s the perfect spot to taste, explore, and soak up the real atmosphere of Zadar’s food culture.
On Siroka Ulica, Zadar’s bustling main street, you’ll pause to enjoy artisan gelato made with natural ingredients. It’s a sweet break in the heart of the Old Town, where you can savor local flavors and watch the city’s vibrant street life all around you.
At the Roman Forum, you’ll walk among ancient stone columns and ruins that once marked the heart of Roman Zadar. Your guide will share stories of how this grand square was the center of public life, trade, and politics for centuries. It’s a chance to step back in time, imagine daily life in ancient Iadera, and soak in the unique blend of history and vibrant city life that surrounds this iconic landmark.
At a cozy konoba tucked beside the Church of St. Ilija, you’ll relax in a charming garden setting and taste a classic Dalmatian favorite: cuttlefish risotto. We had an amazing food tour and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Maša was a fantastic guide, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the local culture and, of course, local cuisine. She shared interesting stories about the history, traditions and food of the region. The food was excellent and thanks to Maša, we not only tasted delicious food but also gained a deeper understanding of the local way of life. Mosha and her partner Nikko went above and beyond on our Zadar food tour...they were excellent!!!! They were so knowledgeable about food as both, we learned, love to cook and are from Zadar and took us to sensational restaurants. In between, they gave us such an indepth historical tour... Nikko, her ASSISTANT, is a history major and was able to share real time stories and events! Best thing (besides the food expertise and knowledge, is that we laughed so much and just had a blast! They definitely the best food tour we've had and we travel a lot!!!! Loved loved this tour!

The food tour in Zadar was absolutely fantastic and exceeded all our expectations! From the first moment the atmosphere was warm and authentic. Our guide was not only very friendly and professional, but also incredibly knowledgeable – he inspired us with exciting stories about the city, its culture and of course the food. We were able to taste a variety of traditional Dalmatian specialties – fresh fish, local cheese, homemade ham, olive oil, wine and much more. Each station was unique and carefully selected. We were particularly impressed by the quality and freshness of the products as well as the close connection to the region. In addition to the food, the walk through the old town of Zadar was also a real highlight. We discovered hidden corners that we would otherwise have simply passed. The combination of culinary delights, culture and personal attention has made this tour a real highlight of our trip.
