Zürich Historic District Tour

Description
Zurich has a beautiful, historic old town. Many of the buildings are several hundred years old. In small, private groups, we, two local residents, will guide you for about two hours through winding alleys and cosy squares, right across the old town on both sides of the Limmat river. We will visit places where you can feel the rich history of the city and which can only be reached via special access.

Solid tour and a great value. Nice way to get highlights of town.
Our guide, Alexander, was prompt, professional and fun! This was a tour filled with magical secrets of Zurich Old Town guided by a true local. We got to see Albert Einstein's locker at the technical University, the gorgeous churches and the lovely Chagall windows! We, also, saw Secret gardens and majestic views!
Sophie was extremely thorough and thoughtful on her tour. She was very engaged with our small group. If you’re visiting and would like to get a behind the scenes view around the oldest parts of Zurich this is a great option! Both couples in our group enjoyed tremendously. Well done Sophie!!! From the Canadians!
Helps to know a little about Zürich and the Reformation in past centuries, but Sophie is wonderful in joining the dots and clearly passionate in sharing information with you.
The tour with Maria enabled us to experience many hidden treasures of Zurich not typically found in guide books that tourists can easily miss.
From our first moment meeting Alexander, he was friendly and welcoming. He took us to many unique and interesting places around the old city center and provided us with a wealth of historical information. I especially appreciated that he paced himself based on our questions and needs. If you want to see beautiful Zurich from a local’s perspective, we highly recommend going on this tour with Alexander.
Great itinerary, a lot of historical facts and fun stories about Zurich. We really enjoyed it and recommend it to everyone visiting Zurich.
Thank you, I will forward it to our Tourguide Sophie!
Maria was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Old Town Zurich. Maria spoke both English and German and switched between languages so everyone could understand what we were looking at:) We had a very positive experience with Maria as our guide.
Thank you so much Sue, also for your understanding, the tour took place i two languages. It was a pleasure guiding you through "my" Zurich.
This was a great way to orient ourselves with Zurich the first day we arrived. We adjusted our schedule to see different aspects of the city after learning there were more interesting places to visit than we'd originally planned. Our tour through the universities showed us unexpected historical perspective. And, our tour guides pointed out some budget-friendly options for dinner!
Thank you, i am so happy you like it!
With the night owl in the afternoon through the old town- very interesting, many beautiful details, courtyards, personalities and their stories, we liked it very much
