Meet up your private tour guide in your hotel lobby at your setting time. Follow your guide take taxi or UBER to the South Gate, Walk through the Moat Park Bar Square, continue your tour to turn around back to see inside Wall lane, you will pass by a lot of private garden restaurants, stylish bars, hair salons, street food carts, fruit stores, chattting neighbours sitting next to the house doors and evening wandering locals with family dog following. The ending point of tour is West Gate(xi men) of the Wall, which is the starting point of Ancient Silk Road, your guide will assist you to get a taxi for returning back to your hotel or you can spend more time in the area by your own.

This short 2 hour tour is an essential nighttime activity for anyone coming to Xi'an for the first time. We met just after sundown on a 38 degree day. The daytime is too hot for this walk to be comfortable. However, after sundown it is comfortable to stroll along and there is a lot less foot traffic. The gift shop is closed so visit that during the day separately. Rosa was the perfect laid back guide filled with interesting knowledge about the construction, operation and history of the city wall. The views from the wall of both sides of the city are stunning. Just a much as my two 18 year old boys loved the tour, they loved walking through the neighborhoods and seeing the dancing at night. I very highly recommend!
