The Ogimachi Castle Site Scenic Lookout affords visitors unimpeded views over the village of Ogimachi, the central settlement in Shirakawa-go and part of the “Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama” World Heritage Site. You can choose to hike the gentle slope on your own or make your own way to the observation deck by shuttle bus.

The tour will be attending to alternative place or giving out a gift as a compensation, depending on the situation at that time. There will not be any refunds for these changes.
- Late arrivals will not be entertained and joining midway is not feasible for the tour. Please arrive the meeting point on time.

Our tour guide is Yasushi San, with a very fluent introduction to history, culture and scenery. Relax and live, and sometimes add some laughing points. Because it is the relationship of the locals of Kenzhe, always feel his tour is full of love and care for Kenzhe, allowing people to fully integrate into it. The tour was really fun and the guide Keita was fun and really friendly. We got there mid morning so their were very few people around which made it such a nice and peaceful atmosphere. We had 2 hours there which was a good length of time.

Keita was an excellent tour guide for our Shirakawa-go trip! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. Even during the long bus ride, he kept us entertained with interesting stories, local history, and fun facts, so the time passed quickly. One of the highlights was his special introduction to the Wada House, which gave us a much deeper appreciation of its history and significance before we explored it ourselves. He also shared great recommendations for how to spend our free time in Shirakawa-go, pointing us to the best viewpoints and places to visit, which helped us make the most of our time there.
