HAMPI is avery historic place and former capital of a Hindu kingdom. It has ancient temples with very detailed hand carvings. You need to walk a lot to see all the sights.
Unforgettable destinations. I was skeptical of being able to appreciate the magic of these two places in as many days, but the pace of the tour felt great and Rama Krishna's warm conversation and deep knowledge made it all the more enjoyable. Chitradurga, I thought, would be far inferior to Hampi, but the setting, nature, and energy there are all worth experiencing.
Our stay was wonderful, surrounded by attentive people who made our celebration for my husband's birthday beautiful. Mainly the butler Yanara, professional and very gentle in her treatment.
With due respect, this review is not on service rendered by us... This is in Spanish and talks about a hotel which took good care of them... We are happy to take 5 stars for our own legit services!
We were in Hampi for 3 days. Hotel Clarks Inn is a DISASTER. Very bad experience. Though Mohammad Mustafa in reception, was very friendly and co operative. I strongly suggest that anyone who is planning trip must stay in Hospet, where there are better hotels and food joints. It is just 12 LM from Hampi. 2 days is required for doing justice to Hampi. You should not miss opportunity to visit Badami Caves. Though, it is 165 KM from Hampi. Ideally stay in Hospet for 2 nights and 1 night in Badami. Railway junction is also there.
It is not known exactly how Tripadvisor allows people to make comments on services they never used! The above comment has nothing to do with our services since they never took it! Their description of a hotel, their experience with it, reference to Badami caves, are all totally unconnected with our product. They have given a four star but is nothing to do with our service!
