Itinerary
Visit a typical Italian estate in Pescara countryside. The earliest records of this winery go back to the year 1793 and in 1999 a group of friends brought back to life this exclusive estate. Each member personally supervises all the phases of wine production: from the loving cultivation of the grapes to the very careful harvest, the vinification, the promotion and the commercialization of the products. The absolute obstinacy, typical of the people from the Abruzzi region, the respect for the traditions and mostly the uncompromising pursuit of the best products, give the estate's wines the best character obtainable. Take the chance of learning from the best winemakers and wine lovers of the Region exploring this winery. Visit the estate and the cellar with your friendly guide and discover curiosities about wine-making. Then, it's time to taste: toast with 3 types of wines and celebrate this amazing day with your old and new friends.

Very interesting and educational tour of this state-of-the-art vineyard. We were very fortunate to have the tour conducted by the vintner himself, who explained in detail the Castorani philosophy and process. Truly impressive, from the restoration of the old hunting lodge and maintenance of the historic vineyard, to construction of the production facility and offices using local materials and solar energy. We also tasted three different wines, including our favorite red. Highly recommend this tour! You’ll need a car to get to the vineyard, but it’s a beautiful drive from Rome or Pescara into the countryside. Absolutely worth it!
Thank you so much for this incredible and detailed review! We're thrilled that you found the tour interesting and educational – having the vintner himself guide you through the Castorani philosophy makes it truly special. It's wonderful that you appreciated the restoration of the historic hunting lodge, the sustainable production facility, and of course the wine tasting – especially your favorite red. Great tip for future guests: a car is needed, but the beautiful drive from Rome or Pescara is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend this authentic Abruzzo winery experience!
Mathias was great! The tour was interesting. Wines were tasty. The experience with Mathias was truly exceptional, and we appreciate his efforts. The tour itself was genuinely engaging and kept us captivated throughout. Moreover, the selection of wines presented a delightful and flavorful experience. We were very impressed with the overall quality. Overall, it was an amazing winery visit.
The tour was informative and informal ,the design of the vineyard was excellent. Don't expect old-fashioned ,this is 21st century. And the wines echo this .
The view 360 degrees around us was beautiful. Completely surrounded by the mountains, completely in the countryside, we received a super friendly welcome. Time was really taken to show everything and explain it in detail. After the tour of the vineyard and through the wine cellar we had the opportunity to taste not three wines but six wines… we thoroughly enjoyed it.
I had a great time and the wines were excellent. Mattia is very knowledgeable and a very friendly person. The tasting room was great and they even gave us some cheese and Salumi. It’s a small winery so we felt like family right from the start. It was very intimate. I would definitely go again.
Never seen such a wine production installation that was so hygienist and modern. The guidance was top class.
Simona was an excellant and knowledgable guide (employee of the winery). She narrated the tour in very good english. The winery is beautifully manacured with a historical charm, while the production facilities are ultra modern. The wine tasting was extensive, and our party of 4 enjoyed each of the wines tasted. At the end of the tour we bought 6 bottles of their wine and are enjoying one as I write this review. This tour is a hidden secret - enjoy as you will not be disappointed
